It is known that Liberation Theology traces much of its spread to KGB-backed religious leaders trying to convert highly religious minority populations to "the Revolution," so I wouldn't be shocked if at least some of the progressive denominations are under the control of left-wing atheists trying to use faith to shape culture in ways that pure secularism can't.
Yes, KGB-operated seminaries trained infiltrators to go to South America and create Liberation Theology and also infiltrated the WCC. It's no secret.

Also this was 50 fucking years ago. When did you get out of your coma?

Love the embarrassing tinfoiling in here. Up there with retards who claim that Jesus never existed tbh. For sake of the thread here's a couple of stupid things that Euphorics have gurgled recently.

Not to mention the Eastern Orthodox Church being under the influence of the Soviets up until the dissolution of the USSR and even then it's shadow still remains.

Stop trying to call your sexual pathology "love". This cheapens the concept of love, the greatest of Christ's commandment.

I'm not dumb, just reiterating the point that the liberalization of churches probably does stretch to nonbelievers in the hierarchy outside of those installed as part of Active Measures.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=_yxJFyeJrFcKeep getting recommended this dude's videos despite me not being an atheist. His sperg lisp goes right through my head.
He sounds like he was repeatedly dropped on his head as a baby.

I still don't know why "Christians don't read the Bible!!!" is some kind of shibboleth among the neckbeard crowd or why atheists keep claiming to have read the whole thing. Most people don't make it out of the Pentateuch.

Aren't SJWs usually atheist (aside from worshiping "identity politics" and "marginalized groups", that is)?

And why are atheist SJWs so fixated on "woke" when they believe that there's no afterlife and the known universe will end someday?
Wokeism is derivative of a form of atheism that worships the State and/or Revolution, and thus thinks everything they do should work to provide material impact on the world, especially in regards to continuing their regime and cause. Think of the Greater Good, where your earthly actions are all that matters because there is nothing left of you after you die.

So atheist SJWs believe that such a "glorious" commie regime at "the end of history" will somehow go on forever in "an endless present in which The Party is always right"?

(or they believe the world will end someday but don't care because that's too far away)

Column A and Column B, the end of the world is irrelevant as long as the Revolution succeeds before then, and if they can "prevent" one of the supposed doomsday events before then, even better.

...kinda? The main idea of ML was that the workers would rise up and replace the government, then it'd be ruled by a benevolent dictator for a bit while communism was instituted, then the dictator would step down after destroying the class struggle and everyone would live in a utopia forever and ever. There wouldn't be any need for a state.

Which of course has never, ever happened in any commie revolution in history. And even if it happened by some miracle, the "utopia" wouldn't work because quite a number of people are real jerks, and this world is a world of scarcity. Also religion can be a need, and a commie "utopia" is supposed to be without religion (except communism lol).

(also what's "ML"?)

hey @Syaoran Li

Didn't you say a number of "euphoric" atheists in the early '10s have gone all fundamentalist Christian now?

Most of the euphorics went full Woke, but a few of them have gone "trad" such as Roosh V.

Most of the euphorics were originally center-left or were lolberts and most of them went Woke, with a few going trad. Very few of the original fedora-tippers remained center-left and most of them are older guys like Bill Maher and Richard Dawkins.

Even those atheists who were initially anti-woke "Skeptics" from 2012-2016 such as TJ Kirk, MundaneMatt, and Shoe eventually all became BreadTubers after Trump got elected.

And the more edgelord types who would've been euphoric atheist lefties in the 2000's and very early 2010's just to spite Mom and Dad and be edgy, are now more likely to become /pol/-tards and Trad LARP'ers, as that's now a lot more taboo compared to being a lefty atheist nowadays.

A lot of euphoric atheists were only into it because they just wanted to be edgy or "countercultural" and nowadays, being a progressive atheist is anything but edgy.

So if there's still any "euphoric neckbeards" like the ones from circa 2010, they're quite rare (especially the "brony" ones)? To me the trend of such still feels recent.

The vast majority of euphoric neckbeards went full-on wokester and a lot of them were proto-woke to begin with.

The constant whining about "le fedora neckbeard chuds" from the early woke left during stuff like GamerGate, Atheism+, or the Anita Sarkeesian controversies always felt like projection on their part, like a sort of troll-shielding.

MovieBob, Vaush, Andrew Dobson, TJ Kirk, there's so many of these wokester atheists that fit that stereotype so well.
