It can only be proven by accepting as axiomatic the assumptions that lead to the conclusion you want.
As a matter of epistemology, the existence or nonexistence of God is unknowable.
And that opinion is as valid as any other on the subject, that is, it is entitled to no respect from anyone.
Axioms are pretty shit. They work at some places, but one is better be careful with them.
Most proofs rely on direct observations and as few axioms as possible.
I might as well give an example.
It's not even hard to demonstrate any reasonable definition of god contains contradictions and as such could not logically exists. A complete absence of physical evidence strenghtens it. There are plenty of other angles, but I'm not sure I want to go further into it.
