I know most people are shocked Eugenia’s mom doesn’t take her daughter dedication to being a skeleton more seriously but if she wasn’t worried about her being such a vapid twit then the anorexia surely wouldn’t phase her either.

Eugenia is like the a anachan millennial version of the old Stepford Wives stereotype, though I guess it might be more apt to update it to a Bratz Doll stereotype. Eugenia will never be a wife. For all the accusations of her appealing to perverts Eugenia is terrified of her own sexuality. She’s just so devoted to being the best skelly she’s alright with the guys who fetishize it, because they value the thigh gap as much as she does. She shares common values with skelly fetishists.

Well said. She objectifies herself in that way. She's her own doll that she dresses up for others to admire. That's safe. Being a woman with adult sexuality is scary because she's so stunted.

This isn't directed at anyone here but I will never understand people who don't believe in mental illness. Just look at the afflicted. Eugenia is a late 20's womanchild on the verge of death who lives in a pink, stuffed animal filled room at her mother's house. She could have been a professional model or at least a functional adult with a job and her own place. It's sad to see the wasted potential of young mentally ill people.

I think part of the issue with Eugenia, and many girls like her, is something you casually mentioned here. “She could have been a professional model.” Pretty little girls get told they are pretty and/or could be a model A LOT growing up. It’s usually the first comment someone will make upon meeting a pretty little girl - even if it’s just a bit exaggerated flattery. These people are just trying to be nice, but unfortunately it really engrains in their minds that being pretty is their most important attribute.

Eugenia also apparently did model, or try to, as a young teen. There are professional photos she did for a portfolio and apparently did some catalog modeling or something. For whatever reason it didn’t pan out and I’d say this certainly fed into her mentality to try and be “skinner” or prettier. Years of being told “she should be a model” and then it not panning out when she tried probably fueled her weird fixation on her looks. The rejection she experienced from this initial interaction with the “adult world” when it came to modeling jobs (which could have been as mild as they didn’t bang down her door, all the way to very cruel rejections that picked apart her flaws) probably fueled her retreat into childish behavior.

All this is on top of her being a little off and obviously having a very dysfunctional and wealthy family. The wealth becomes an issue when it allows a family to create their own very isolated and comfortable bubble away from society instead of engaging in it. I think Eugenia’s mom did that and as Eugenia got older she found her only social outlet online, it provided a safe distance, allowed her to remain in her bubble and after a few years became the only way she was comfortable with any social interaction. She can engage with people in a tightly controlled way it while sitting in her bedroom with a screen between her and the world and gets the attention and feedback she desires without any risk and without leaving the safety of her bubble.

Y'know I forget how much skellies set off my "this isn't right"-ometer until I see pictures of Cooney exposing thighs or midriff. The word "atrophy" keeps screaming in my head every time.

I feel like situations like this are where patricide would be a justifiable option, if she weren't using her mother as her own personal hugbox when things get too real on the internet for her.

The visual pairing of oversized shorts and puffy leg warmers makes it look like her legs have been photoshopped into dwarf proportions.

Edit: I swear to god I've seen these shorts in the kids section at Target or Walmart
 
I've been watching a lot of creepy pastas/ videos on Youtube again recently and it's good to see that the Rake took off some of the makeup.
