I feel for the girl but her taking the time in the doc to say “I’ve always just been a little extra skinny” made me roll my eyes. I should have guessed she’d spend a good part of her interview denying her eating disorder.

I think they are both attention whores amd this whole petition thing might be a way of JG to punish EC for cutting her off and not letting her get attention for playing the savior of poor Eugenia. One of the saddest things about people like Eugenia is how they keep attracting these kind of "altruistic" attention whores who just push then further into their illness in the end. In EC's situation I'd cut JG off as well, but I'd get help.

I doubt it, Jaclyn is a dumb whore, but she seems to understand (as she did when they decided to do an intervention) that Eugenia was going to see this as an attack.

Eugenia's presence online is feeding into her disorder. And it's leading her audience full of adolescent girls down with her... To be honest, the only thing people can do is to deplatform EC... And that's not normally something I'm in support of... But I can see why people are trying to do it.

Jaclyn may be an attention whore, but you have to remember, she constantly gets requests to help EC... This is really the only other way she can do that. Especially since Kati Morton and Shane Dawson aren't doing anything.

Eugenia's home life is a very large part (if not the root itself) of her issues. Deplatforming her isn't going to fix that. Her mother tried to fight to keep her from being and staying committed so I don't understand how this is productive at all other than being a show for Jaclyn and all the Karens that are screeching to have her taken off the internet. And as far as her young followers are concerned, it's just more pearl clutching behavior. Parents need to worry about their kids, not Eugenia and not these people trying to get her taken off the internet. They can look anywhere for their thinspo, so it doesn't matter if Eugenia is gone anyway.

I think Eugenia is a flake and the stuff with her discord mod is fucked but people reeeeing about her simple existence online is dumb. I'm sure the internet isn't good for Eugenia but she's an adult and has to make that choice herself. She's not going to be forced to get better if she goes offline. In fact that's likely more time to be around her enabling mother. And no one can ban her entirely from the internet. If Youtube and the other platforms take her off, she can still access the internet and proana sites/content. Who's to say it won't push her further, especially when combined with the frustration of being deplatformed? Speculating about it is really pointless because it could go any way.

People with eating disorders cannot be forced to truly recover. It's the same thing with an addict. She won't recover until she decides she wants to, which might be never.

Anorexia nervosa has something like a 92% death rate if untreated. It's the deadliest mental disorder and one of the most deadly medical conditions you can have period outside of certain cancers.

Both Ashley and Eugenia will die it's just a matter of when.
