Eh, I don't think that picture is very telling, that could just be some dandruff (which would make sense since she is clearly dehydrated af) or some random fuzz b/c she only washes her hair once a week, at the salon. I mean, why would she have white beads put in with her black hair extensions? Doesn't make sense.

I don't think her hair looks that good if you compare with really old pics. It is clearly dry and thinned out, lost its shine and bounce. To counter this, she had layers put in, esp in the front (you can see how short some of the front strands are). This is why she's so self conscious abt the way her hair sits all the time and keeps fluffing it up. She wants to have it look thick, but cannot let go of the long and straight styling that makes her look even more emaciated. Thus, this bizarre look she has, where the hair seems full in the back but it's practically plastered to her face (bangs + sides).

Otoh, I've seen people say she has admitted to having extensions once, some years ago, then quickly deleted that post. If that's true, she is not THAT clueless about extensions. Idk.

Personally, I believe that Eugenia is an outlier, like most of the cows on here. She is that 1% that looks better, suffers from less side effects and stays alive longer than the majority of the people suffering from the same illness. So maybe that's her real hair. Still doesn't mean she hasn't irreversibly fucked up her body.

I don’t think it is fuzz or lint. It looks really round like a bead. Light also doesn’t reflect off fuzz. It is also going through a strand of hair

So from my understanding, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but this "documentary series" by Discovery+ about Onision, featuring Eugenia Cooney, was originally made by Chris Hansen (???). X amount of months ago I guess Discovery reached out to some smaller YouTubers who had covered Onion Boy drama in he past and offered them early access to the documentary if they'd review it on their channel. For some reason, this artist who should be used to people of more fame/power trying to take advantage of her in exchange for nothing but promised "exposure" (I'm sure at least once in her career), got BIG MAD that Discovery had the audacity to even ask her to do a video review (that, mind you, would surely bring traffic to her channel and garner a modest amount of views if released prior to the scheduled air date, thus creating revenue) for FREE!!! I just don't get why she feels this is the most shocking and shady thing for a major cooperation to make a tacky offer like when they exploit smaller creators on the regular. It's no different than makeup artists getting new releases before the everyday consumer. They make a video on it and make money, and the cooperation makes money because it gives exposure to their product thus increasing their profits as well. It's mutually beneficial.

This leads me to believe there is something more to the story Shannon might not be telling us. All speculation of course, but I reckon she asked Discovery for a check if she did a review and got pissed when they said no and moved on to giving the same offer to channels willing to take advantage of the offer. She seems way too bitter to just be mad about how they had the nerve to ask her in the first place but that's just my theory. Even the fact that she made a whole ass video dragging the documentary (which is still giving it exposure, Shannon) leads me to believe there's more to the story than she'd ever tell us as her reputation as of now is virtually untarnished. Either way, her videos always bore me and I honestly have always thought she gets so worked up about the sometimes dumbest shit. She states her problems about the documentary, which are otherwise pretty valid. I just wonder if she would have dragged it as hard, had she gotten paid.

Would it hurt you to go read Onision's thread? Shannon's video has been discussed and is already archived there. Putting Eugenia's name in a diatribe about someone else doesn't justify posting it in this thread.
 
There's plenty to criticize about Eugenia but some (seems like most tbh) of the people who are basically Trump-style reply guys/gals on all her tweets are also retarded. She's like Onision in the sense that a lot of the people who 'call her out' are attention whores and hypocrites. Yeah, Onision is worthy of all his criticism but some of the detractors are unbearable. The ceaseless "think of the children!!" fainting acts regarding Eugenia are annoying. Is she a bad influence on kids? Absolutely. Kids shouldn't be watching her but that's the job of the parents. I don't see large numbers of people swarming every other person with clear mental illness and trying to force them off the internet.

As far as Eugenia is concerned, I'm curious if her mom reads all her Twitter/Youtube comments. People talk about her mother and family consistently so she has to know about it if she ever looks at them. It almost makes the videos she helps film (like the one of her trying on clothes in public and the Christmas house tour) seem like a big "fuck you" to anyone who criticizes her role in enabling/contributing to Eugenia's ED.

When Karen Carpenter died, she was so dehydrated that her small bowel and colon were impacted. Severe constipation can cause abdominal distention - something Karen Carpenter also had listed on her autopsy.
The fact that Euwugenia has a flat stomach makes me believe she’s abusing laxatives and exacerbating the dehydration. She’s on a one way road to a heart attack.

Karen was also abusing ipecac. Ipecac causes some very forceful vomiting.

Eugenia is dehydrated too, just goes about it differently. She never drinks on stream and is seemingly comfortable going 8+ hours without a sip of anything.

Then there is as Cuddle Striker has said, the issue where all anorexics are constipated to the point where it is poop filling up on the inside.
 
People on her subReddit spotted a bottle of Midol in one of her vids/streams, which is generally used for period cramps and eliminating water weight. The assumption is she is using it for the latter, as it's very unlikely she still gets her period.
 
Random question. Why do you think Eugenia uses a blanket in her chair? Maybe her bones hurts her when she sits down?

Definitely. She's skin on bones and even with cushioning she's probably still in pain. Not sure if she covers up with it but she's likely cold all the time. Although I have a difficult time imagining she'd use it to cover with. She wants to show as much skin as possible at all times.

GAMER chairs are super uncomfortable and have shit padding and ergonomics so it probably does hurt since she has no padding of her own

Yep-- and it can take years for the puffy eye issue to go away. Doesn't matter if you deprive yourself of sodium to the extent possible with normal eating or using meds that induce vasoconstriction. You can sleep sitting upright all you want, but the second you take that 30 minute nap in bed, it's back. May or may not be speaking from personal experience. And don't forget the delicate skin around the eyes stretching out leading to wrinkles-- something she may come to give a shit about if she reaches her 30s. Just a reminder of the reality of the disease as far as long-term effects go, even after recovery or weight restoration.

ETA: The only time I'm gonna recommend reddit is when it comes to EC's sub. Those people know their shit when it comes to extensions. There's 20+ threads pointing out the beads and indicators of extensions, not that it should be a surprise that someone with a negative body fat percentage has brittle hair.
