I think Buzz died and she's taking some time away from the camera to grieve. He was a beloved member of the family for over a decade, it's understandable.

Please. She will get a new pug, probably already have been talking with breeders or are just waiting for pup to be weened. Her excitement about a cute new puppy will erase any elderly dog grief. She avoids feelings and emotions just like she does food.

I think this family is far more dysfunctional behind the scenes than any of us could imagine.

100% I think the father probably lives a fairly normal workaholic life. The money he makes has allowed a sealed luxury bubble for Deb and the two kids. I think Dad has NYC apt he stays in most of the time and makes weekend visits home. Trave

I think when the kids were young they were a fairly normal family but as the marriage got stressed, the boy was Dx with autism and Eugenia descended into goth girl anorexia they sort of became shut-ins and the mental illness increases. I think Eugenia’s attempts at modeling traumatized her and ended most of her interest in IRL interactions and social life.

Mental illness among the rich is another universe because the wealth allows a level of enabling or coddling not possible to average ppl, who must eventually face reality or end up living in a shelter. Eugenia and her mom can afford to live in denial and take trips to Disney World.

Deb is an enigma to me, but maybe being in denial is just her most comfortable position. Is anything currently known about the brother? I know he’s an obese autist but I recall their California adventure was so he could take some animation classes? I’m just curious about his level of independence.

Deb treats her kids like permanent 8 year olds. She takes care of them in her mansion and does occasional enrichment activities. For Eugenia its outings to take photos and videos of herself, trips to Disney World, occasional mini-vacays.

The son is a mystery. He lives in the house with Eugenia, right? Does she ever mention his presence?

If so Im sure he’s in his room full of expensive toys and in front of a screen the majority of his waking hours. Probably a disturbing amount of porn unless the meds are strong. I wonder if Deb has any programs or IRL activities she does with him, just like she does with Eugenia.

Since Deb and Eugenia do these trips I’ve wondered if he’s ok to be home alone. Deb obviously has domestic help so maybe the housekeeper coming by more often is enough for the brother. Or maybe when Eugenia and Deb go to Disney the dad comes home to keep an eye on autismo.

Chip used to go on the Disney trips with them. He obviously had an interest in cartoons and Disney in general so I’m curious why he’s not gone with them the last few trips. Or does Deb take him on separate Disney vacays? Lol.

Just like with Chip I wonder if Eugenia can or is ever left home alone. It’s not entirely clear but when Eugenia has taken trips to go to some “influencer event” for a product or a trip to Jeffery’s ranch her mom travels with her and seems she is back at the hotel or waiting across the street at all times. I know ppl think Deb insists on this, but I think it’s more likely Eugenia’s requires mom to be nearby for various reasons.

I love pugs too! Here is my favorite memory of Buzz I've had cropped on my phone for years just because of how over it this poor dog looked in one of her videos. His expression always cracked me up for some reason.

Probably depends on "what kind" of autism since the definition has been stretched to ridiculous degrees. He could be from "somewhat eccentric" to "basically a vegetable", my bet is more something like the former.

By the way, did you know that 35% of anorexics show some autism symptoms or something along those lines?

He’s definitely not the vegetable type, more the spergy weirdo who draws slightly fetishized very terrible skelly pictures of his sister, super fat autist, so I’d wager that parked in front of a screen is a good guess on how he spends his time. The skelly drawings are somewhere in this thread should you care to look, as is at least one or two pictures of the man himself.

The Cooneys are one cow family I would absolutely pay money for the opportunity to observe the real inner workings workings of their household and family dynamics. I can’t imagine there is anything healthy going on with anyone individually, and certainly not between any of the family members relationship-wise.

Unless it was incredible body dysphoria from how round her face is that caused her to fall into ED patterns (can't change bone structure, no matter how much weight you lose). If not that, then maybe it was her fat brother and mother that reinforced "I HAVE TO BE SKINNY!!!" at all times in her head. Incredibly heartbreaking to think about, she could have been healthy and just maintaining a slim frame.

I don't think someone whose brain demands that level of control can ever be normal without extensive, lifelong psychological treatment.

Not to mention for women you could be stuck with health issues causing hormonal imbalance. Not having the correct amount of hormones in your body will fuck you up mentally.
This does make me wonder if there has been any studies regarding areas of the brain being damaged and OCD? I'll have to look into that research wise and report back to the thread.

This is very true, but it can stem from these overwhelming insecurities (as delusional they may be) to a point of compulsion and the inevitable fear of losing control and losing all of their precious weight loss progress. Eating Disorders are a huge spectrum, the "reasons" behind the compulsion to starve yourself vary and evolve over time.
W/ the trauma bit, it always could be similar to our Lich Queen, Rachael Farrokh, doing it out of spite to her family. However, I doubt this because of how enabling her mother is at this point.

Body dysmorphia is how it usually starts. And there's a big genetic component to it (obviously not from the mother with Eugenia, because people with these mutations literally have a differently wired metabolism even if not disordered)
