The comment about helping Null and Ralph make up was a faux self deprecating comment from when he got Null on the show for Ralph to ambush, post corn joke. He's acting like that wasn't just a set up for Jerry Springer content on his show, but in Ralph's favor. iirc this was a little bit before the "You hang out with pedophiles and delinquents, and you are either directing it allowing them to run me off your show" break up final appearance of Null on The Dick Show. The Ralph ambush was definitely hostile to Null on Dick's part even if he probably was only motivated by getting easy content.
Dick has been odd the past year and this is somebody who's been listening to him since Day 1 Biggest Problem. I also stopped listening to him a year ago and I can't put my finger on to why.
He's always pulled the Tough McCoolguy stunt and will throw anybody under the bus for the sake of a laugh or cash (A lot of the original guests from Dick Show no longer being around for example) so it's odd why he sticks with Ralph and now well, Vito.
My one and only guess is since Dick is an open degenerate, sex and drugs galore- Ralph partook with him and knows about something potentially unsavory and vice versa.
So what do you call it? mutually assured destruction? Both have ammo about each other so they're permanently in an amicable, yet obviously uncomfortable dalliance. For fuck sake, Dick blocks anybody mentioning Ralph negatively now and that's very unlike his character
It's been about a year since I bailed on Dick too, and I have a lot of thoughts about where it went wrong. I think there were three critical elements:
1) Lockdowns: Dick is a very social person, and during lockdown, he went really heavily into Twitter and Internet fwends. I think Twitter really rotted his brain when it's all he had for social peacocking for a year.
2) The Dick Show's premise died. The Dick Show was really an spite fueled project. After the lolsuit, it really didn't have anywhere to go, and Dick really seemed to distance or out right drive off good contributors. He traded Asterios, Null, and Peach for the likes of Ralph and Vito. He also got super lazy cause he didn't care about the show, and put Riley in charge of guests which was a huge mistake.
3) Gay Ops: In the middle of 2020 there was a really big push of Aylogs, mostly against Ralph, but also against Dick and kind of anyone associated with them. PPP and Jesse were prominent, but there were a ton of people, including on here, that sperged the fuck out. The whole Corn Joke originated from Null's frustration at the massive chimp out happening on the Farms. They are the people I detest the most out of the situation. I think Ralph is entertaining to watch and laugh at, I miss when Dick was fun, but I'll never sit through unedited Jesse or PPP content. Dick responded to these attacks by going full contrarian. You want me to hate Ralph? I'm Ralph's best friend and father. You are calling me a pedo for saying I'm not offended by Cuties? It's the best movie ever and I'll defend it to the death of my show. I really do believe he was trolled into ruining his content.
