Let's be honest here, if the billion dollar live service cashcow more "casual" games struggle against cheaters, there's no way bsg or nikita can do anything meaningful towards completely removing cheaters from the game. If there's anything to be done indirectly, they would need to remove or change the bullshit quests, reduce the items requirement or buff the loot pool, and maybe reduce the price of everything across the board so that there'd less incetive to cheat, atleast for people people playing less than 8 hours a day. I know this isn't going to happen or that it is too late for the changes to have meaningful impact but it's either this or spend triple A amount of money for a long and wild goose chase.

The downside is you can't refill it from the resupply boxes AFAIK.
If you have your loadout set up correctly you should have an extra drum mag partially filled which you can use to reload and get your full 100 round drum back. Most players will put in level 4 or 5 back plates which I find utterly pointless so it saves you a lot of points to only have 4/5 front plates. If someone is shooting you from behind in arena you're almost certainly going to die regardless of your plates.
You can also go Assault and run the RPK. It's basically an AK stuck in the LMG category.
I wouldn't suggest doing this to level LMGs. I tried the RPK on a whim and even running BS it's a frustrating experience. Poor recoil combined with a low fire rate on a class with only level 4 plates leads to nothing but misery. Sticking with enforcer and the m60 loaded with M80 or the RPD with PP is less frustrating. You can also run the ronin mask to get full level 4 head coverage on enforcer. The level 5 helmets and level 4 face shields cost upwards of like 2300 points and are really difficult to run on LMG loadouts.

I agree completely that it's not simply a BSG thing. I have yet to play any PvP game that doesn't have cheaters. The frustrating thing about BSG is that they keep stiffing casual players HARD. They make game decisions in a vacuum, where cheaters don't exist. I think I would still have the game installed if I hadn't spent 4 hours each day getting shit on in the arena trying to complete TGH 3 as a solo and then getting killed every fucking raid in the main game.

I would say that BSG could actually do something about cheaters and that is go after them with the law. It's illegal everywhere to sell cheats to games. They could sue these companies for all they are worth AND work with law enforcement to put the leaders in jail. I would lick the bottom of Nikita's feet if he started doing this.

The fact that they, and all other game companies, don't attack cheating using legal methods already at their disposal sends a message of "We really don't give a fuck about your experience in our game" to casuals.

It's less so that it's difficult to counter cheaters (because it is), but more so that BSG just wrote a bunch of dogshit spaghetti that the client has far more information and interaction with than the server (or lobby) should allow. They dropped the ball on this matter. How the fuck you do not have a simple proximity check if player is even within radius for an interaction to succeed given vacuum cheats exist?

Instead of the promised Russia 2028, we have a new game... Escape from Tarkov: Mars Edition.

I kinda figured it'd be something scifi but I'm hoping they at least learn from the mistakes of Tarkov (they won't).
They might. They have said their base code in Tarkov is dogshit, which is why it's so easy to create cheats in the game and also why there are so many retarded issues like ammo pen and massive desync. The fat man has said that "they know" how cheaters are exploiting the game so easily. But they also said that at the start of 1.0, and the cheating problem fucking exploded a month into wipe while he bleated about adding new guns on X.

I'm going to wait a year or so after this game comes out before I bite, though. I am very disillusioned with BSG right now.

BSG also really fucked up their relationship with streamers at the start of wipe with their failed rollout of paid drops. It seems like most Tarkov streamers are looking for any game they can play that will keep their userbase, so they can ditch the clusterfuck of BSG.

I finally maxed out Ref from playing Arena and the BP. Holy shit he's a really fucking broken trader but I guess that's fair since Arena is fucking suffering to play. I wish the Theta questline was less sweaty and just kill X enemies in Y mode but BSG loves making us suffer for no fucking reason.

I might get the "fell for it again" award but damn does tarkov in a scifi setting sound fun
Holefully we'll get a better Marauders. I loved the idea of that game but not the execution. I want to try it but I hope it's mobile shit so I can pretend it doesn't exist and we get Russia 2028 instead of that.

I finished TGH 4, I need to try and go duck hunting because it seems hilarious.

Use the wiki entry. It's a Jaeger quest, so of course some of them are in absolute BS places, like outside the map. At least the sound queues help, but many of them require very specific angles, like the one under the mall or the ones on the Northwest side of it, or the ones on the East side of Customs.
You should be able to get everything with your preferred sights, but a 4x might help for first shot hits.
Plan multiple raids to get them all on any given map if PvP, same for PvE if you don't plan to hustle/skip looting.

Tarkov in space name confirmed: Fragmentary Order.

I'm giving this 6 months before the servers shut down.

How much looter-shooter shitslop games is it already? 10? 20? I cannot keep count and I frankly can't believe they keep pumping these out way after there was an actual exodus of players from Tarkov back during the DLC scandal.

EDIT: Apparently it's a BSG game and I am a retard. Either way I hope they won't drop EFT development - I need more backports to SPT
