Okay, so a bit of backstory here. An erotic roleplayer is exactly what it says on the tin, they basically roleplay in erotic (see: pornographic) settings. Now, normally I'd say do what you gotta do (Behind closed doors), but these people in some MMOs do it right out in the open. WoW is the most infamous example of this, with the legendary (in a bad way) Moon Guard server and the Alliance beginner zone town called Goldshire. It is as bad as people say it is. The inn has almost no pixel that isn't occupied by some naked futa stripper or some shit.

It gets worse, however. In Stormwind (And by proxy, all of the cities of the Alliance), there are rather creepy adverts for BDSM 'lifestyle' guilds that flood the chat channels such as General and Trade (I assume that means they ERP, but just label it something different to not get immediately banned.). I can log in and take pictures of these adverts for sauce if you like (With blurred out names of course). The sad thing is, I've googled these guilds and visited the armory pages. These guilds can easily reach the member cap (1000 I think) or come close.

There is another example of this, the Balmung server on FFXIV. It's riddled with ERPers and Tumblr people (Although the latter type of person is a much bigger part of the problem with that server.)


Now, under normal circumstances this wouldn't be worthy of a thread. Except that this is the same community that made people like Dalavesta (A wow player who fucks her IRL dog, essentially. Imagine a far worse version of Spoony's Girlfriend, April.).

What prompted this thread? Well, it's two fold. One, I haven't seen a thread dedicated to this strange behavior that attracts strange people. Two, This is more to discuss potential lolcows that are within the community rather than the community as a whole, but it's for ease of categorization. Not all Erotic Roleplayers are lolcows, but it's a very slippery slope from what I've observed (I ran a regular RP guild years ago, around late wotlk. This was when ERP started getting really out of hand. I noticed that the ERPers that I found within my guild were also people who acted absolutely crazy, in the bad way.).

So, have you had any sort of encounters with these bizarre people? Or do you know of any lolcows (Besides Dalavesta, who is more of a creepy cow) that you would be willing to list?

I'm not sure what prefix to use on this thread, so I chose Horrorcow (Feel free to change it, mods), because it's pretty gross.
 
I know one time someone tried to pick me up while I was just questing. Their RP profile had a link to a Draenei with genuinely worrying proportions. That’s the closest to ERP I’ve ever been.
 
Hi there bucko! You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of Kiwifarms are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have posted a community group in the lolcow board, when this board has nothing to do with a community! Whoops!

You should always remember to look through the available boards to see if one exist that fit your subject better! . You should always try to post on the accurate places!

Those disgusting perverts are also another one in our long line of people who keep making gamers look bad when normal people don't understand that these people are the minority, not the main player base.

The degenerates in every community are always seen as the norm when viewed from outside, it's frustrating as fuck.

Isn't it? And places like Moon Guard sure as shit aren't helping get rid of that view.
 
I wish I could reroll to Moonguard tbh. Say what you will about the ERPers, it just seems like a fun server. Like all the people roleplaying guards in the cities.

I actually spent sometime on Moonguard a few months back. I was in a family friendly guild and it had minors. Now, I was an officer in the guild however. MULTIPLE occasions we' catch minors Erotic Roleplaying with some of the adults of the guild and it was a cesspool to be sure. I left and wound up going to a different server to be sure.

Ageplay and Pedophilia is high strung on these servers, and it doesn't even breakdown to just Moonguard. Recently Wyrmrest accord just got BLASTED out with two ageplayers known across multiple servers and they got laughed off the server.

two people in the game wanted to get married, so i decided to be the priest

i actually bought a full set of robes and bought a cross necklace for the occasion

i even researched the lines and duties of real priests during weddings

not quite erotic roleplaying, but autistic nonetheless

I was soloing a dungeon in ESO a couple years back when I happened upon a couple of players hanging out in a courtyard. They'd taken off all their armor and clothing --well, as much as you can in an elder scrolls game-- and were doing really lame RP like "I touch your body sexyly" "pls open bobs" "my 1ft pleasure snake come undone". It was more pathetic than gross honestly, and it was pretty funny when mobs started attacking them.

I don't get the appeal honestly. Like, you know that elf chick is probably just another greasy guy right? and how exactly is their unemotive homunculus of an avatar appealing anyway? The answer is probably just :autism:

Honestly a worrying amount of ERPers are groomed into it by older people or they just discover it by happenstance. I remember when you could type random shit in Warcraft 3 and there be a dedicated channel. "Sex" was a pretty crazy channel.

Under normal circumstances I'd wish for your early death, but surprisingly your editing to that shit copypasta fits with the actual reality that no one makes threads here properly anymore.
 
I've seen this more online games (MMO's and the like) than tabletop RPG's. Other than the one beginner I was with in one group (construed that any way you want) was wanting to rape everything in sight (such an odd woman for that), you see this more in things that the other person doesn't get to see you because the person trying to do any form of erotic roleplay tend to be too self-conscious about themselves.
