Yeah, you can be a pedophile without touching a child. You can also be a KKK member without lynching a black guy... it doesn't mean I want to provide you with the opportunity.
 
Gonna go out on a limb here. In its essence what he is saying is right, of someone is a pedophile, it's not by choice, your brain is fucked up. However his argument that watching cp or child pics is not dangerous is wholly ignorant, most pedophiles never actually harm a child physically, but their consuming of cp videos is what fuels an industry of child sex videos and such, which those people absolutley harm and kill children. And what funds all that? Money from freaks like this that pay for those videos. Indirectly harming and sexualizong children is just as bad as directly.

Anyway, pedophilia is not a sexual orientation according to work done by people who actually study these guys in action as opposed to academics who just think really hard about how to make themselves look like the most Enlightened ones of their crew. It's a paraphilia, which isn't wholly unlike a normal sexual orientation, but it's associated with compulsive tendencies, hoarding of sexual or sexualized images of children, and obsession over the idea of offending. Whether or not they actively molest kids around them they do groom them to be accepting of Uncle Danny's weird desire to be close to them and engage in inappropriate levels of intimacy with them, which fucks them up even if it fucks them up less than actively diddling them.

It's a terrible condition to have and I pity those that have it, but the pattern of actually self-aware pedophiles is withdrawing completely from the presence of children, ever, and seeking therapy.

So essentially the opposite of what vocal online pedos do, yes.

Also the more someone tells you they DEFINITELY DIDN'T do a thing, the more I'm like 'oh god how much child porn is on your computer you sick fuck'.

Exactly. Paraphilias are aberrant sexual drives. Those that have that kind of condition also usually have an overactive sex drive and a tendency towards obsession. Pedophiles usually experience puberty early and don't mature emotionally after that. They have difficulty forming adult relationships and this is part of what drives them to seek contact with children. Before a pedo even touches a kid they've reinforced their desire to the point of obsession through the use of pornography and fantasy. There is a very real mental aspect to the attraction and even pedos that have been chemically castrated still continue to molest children. There's no cure for it and it's usually not a matter of if they will abuse children, but when. I have heard of the whole 'virtual pedophile' thing before. There's a guy in Texas who openly admits to being a pedophile but claims he doesn't act on his desires. He's a mod on a forum for virtuous pedophiles. Here's a link to the article.

Absolutely. I don't believe in calling it "child porn" but "images of child abuse", or maybe even "evidence" because to make child porn of necessity a child will have been abused.

Which is a big industry. It's horrifying to think about but there is absolutely a child porn industry. Porn maybe the wrong word as porn denotes both actors have contented. It's child rape movies and it's far more prevalent then we rhink. The FBI considers it a billion dollar industry world wide.

The more a pedophile invests in their identity as a pedophile, the more they practice being a pedophile, the more they convince themselves their desires aren't aberrant and predatory, the more dangerous they make themselves. Probably the worst way to avoid molesting a child would be joining some online community dedicated to wistfully talking about how persecuted you are and how sexy those damn kids can be.

I know! And he admits to being a pedo in Texas of all places. There have been cases of parents torturing and killing the person who abused their child and they weren't even prosecuted for it.

lol it's funny because it's true. I have friends complaining constantly about the influx of Californians who are tyrannical crybullies and rude af drivers. They move into the music district and then get pissy at loud live performances late at night and then agitate for laws so no body can have fun.
