Studies have shown that marijuana can exacerbate the symptoms of schizophrenics. But then again so has this thread. As for medication, the general consensus is that antipsychotics can help alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia, among other things.

Eh, technically speaking antipsychotics can also cause brain damage if used over an extended period of time. Or at the very least studies have shown that continued usage of typical and/or atypical antipsychotics can cause a decrease in brain volume. Which one could construe as damage. But then again they're meant for the most severe of neurosis so the benefits may very well outweigh the damage.

Provided that the schizo takes their meds to begin with. Which as a schizophrenic myself I fully endorse taking meds. Elizabeth should do that in my honest opinion, because clearly what she is doing now - as in, going all 420 blaze it in between bouts of frenetic schizoposting online - isn't working. But then again from where I'm standing I'd say she might be past the point of no return.

Wouldn't surprise me if she wound up homeless at some point. A lot of schizophrenics do. It's a damn shame really. The mental healthcare system in this country is broken and needs mending.
