The preview he gave in the tweet looked out of place but alright, but I imagine this was probably best case scenario take.

This is also kind of bizarre because movies have been doing actual seamless (relative to the Elon Slop) product placement for years, just watch any Michael Bay film. So he is already in competition with the studios who make the media because they already sell "ad space" to companies. I would assume that Elon is hoping to make his cheaper than the studio's offers. We will have to wait and see because he is caught in the middle of product placement which doesn't offer a lot of information/ time to the detriment of the company advertising but is more pleasant for the viewers, and actual straight up stop and roll ads which offer significant more time and information to the viewers detriment.
 
This is an outcome of the AI hackathon. So just a proof of concept type thing, showcased alongside a load of other things. I can't imagine that a famous actor would be happy to suddenly appear promoting a product, when they havent been paid for promoting said product.

I legit laughed.

What a horrible idea. I advertise, and I would never want to be associated with this shit. It makes me hate the brand so much it's insane.

If you do advertising the right way, you advertise to people in your market, and they mostly don't really mind because they are interested in your product. The way you interact with ads curates the ads you will see in the future. At least if you accepted personalization.

This is straight cancer injected in your favorite media. If this really comes out, I am going back to torrents and I imagine so will most of the world.

I know it's cliche to say, but how did they look at this and thought, "yep, we got it boys, they're gonna love this"?

Yeah, that would be near impossible to do on the fly like that. It takes a while to generate AI videos and doing it for a commercial is way overkill.

I also can't imagine it will make more people buy the product except maybe kids and gullible retards
