I catch this show when I'm incredibly bored and too tired to watch anything else and what I got was the characters worked at JPL, the NASA branch that builds the rovers. Didn't DOGE do budget cuts on NASA? It would be ironic that he's glazing up the guy who's going to fuck him in the ass later.

"Light cone" is his spastic way of saying "future". It's specifically only that part of future that is causally connected to the here and now, but that's a completely pointless specification.
He thinks more neurotransmitters = more feeling good, and more humans = more neurotransmitters, therefore "maximizing for neurotransmitter tonnage" is his reddit speak for maximizing the number of people and keeping them at maximum happiness (cuz that's the most efficient according to him).
Making AI waifus that stop people from breeding doesn't matter because he will eventually make an AI that inherently works to maximize "neutransmitter tonnage" and solve that problem for him, since he has ofc no idea how that can be done even conceptually, it's all woo woo hand-waving. Also, a lot of Silicon valley types larp as inventors/scientists, but would happily defund research if they were put in the same position as Musk. Some time ago a uni professor told me he gave a public lecture there on how cool James Webb and other observatories will be. The first question from the crowd was "Will this be a profit center or a loss center?".

Musk just happens to be the most successful larper.
