There are very few. The majority of Democrats don't want Elon anywhere near them.
I didn't say the majority wanted him. I just said some.
Matt Yglesias tweeted on Thursday, “I feel like Jeffies [
sic] and Schumer should give Elon Musk a call and tell him about the Democratic Party’s longstanding interest in electric cars, solar panels, space exploration, and balanced deficit reduction.”
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), whose congressional district includes Silicon Valley, is trying to convince Musk to back Democrats in the coming midterm elections: “Having Elon speak out against the irrational tariff policy, against the deficit exploding Trump bill, and the anti-science and anti-immigrant agenda can help check Trump’s unconstitutional administration,” Khanna told Semafor on Friday. “I look forward to Elon turning his fire against MAGA Republicans instead of Democrats in 2026.”
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) told NBC’s
Meet the Press that he would not personally take any campaign donations from Musk,
but nonetheless welcomed the billionaire’s help in opposing Trump’s budget bill.
Elon backed both Obama and Biden in his first run. Obama and Biden gave him subsidies which helped push Tesla and SpaceX further. He went from being a "good" billionaire to a "bad" billionaire just due to his chummying up with Trump. Yes the man is now poison and yes the man is a drugged up asshole but he's a drugged up asshole with a lot of money and influence. So it's not surprising that some Democrats would welcome him back if it meant him now helping them take back the House and Senate in the midterms.
I mean he bought the election for Trump. Guy was giving away millions of dollars to people who voted for Trump. I'm sure there's loads of people out there who would welcome a chance for a million if it meant voting Democrat.
Trump hung out with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell ALL THE TIME, and not just because they happened to be at the same parties.
Anybody who thinks Trump wasn't part of Epstein's sex parties is as high as Elon is all the time.
