It is not. Most whites leave because of the crumbling infrastructure (loadshedding, ect), lack of opportunities due to the poor economy and because they can financially afford to, not because of safety. As fuck up as it can get, living in South Africa has this feeling of freedom that nowhere else can replicate. If you get addicted to that you'll do what ever you can to never leave.

In my view, it was sort of like "ok, he can either make the site better, making it more bearable to use, or make it even worse, in which case it would be hilarious to witness", so I just saw it as a win either way.
I was just glad to see them suffer. I thought there were really two possibilities. The most likely was what actually happened. I was mildly hopeful he might actually Make Twitter Great Again, but no such luck.
Twitter went from just bad too completely unusable. Its went from being a leftoid bullhorn for the public, to rightoid circle jerking of two men.
In his mind, he probably thought he would actually control the flow of information for the entire internet. Not considering that you know, all social media sites run on borrowed time.

i hardly ever use twitter but when i do use it i see weird advertisements, like a hunting game where a coyote gets its brains graphically blown out, or local ads wherein one of the companies has an advertisement of two little girls in bikinis going down a waterslide. when i try to block the ad i get told i have to pay for the privilege of not seeing gore or borderline child pornography. it also seems as if you cannot report ads as there is no clear obvious way to do it, but that could me just being ignorant of how to use the site. in the end he just took something that was unusable and made it unusable in a completely different way.

It might still have the commies, but I didn't see them between the thot bots, Nostaliga engagement of "Remember this from the 90s?", Elon's posts, Laura Loomer's posts, Ian Mile Cheong's posts and boomer accounts posting pictures of Biden eating icecream, sniffing hair or shufflng around. I quit specifically because it was woefully shit, and not the fun kind of shit it was when Jack ran it.

Absolutely the right answer. No-one of sound mind should give a shit. Since Elon and Reddit parted ways in a bitter e-breakup, Musk's purchase of Twitter has turned it into an autist's hugbox, where somehow Ian Miles Cheong is one of the most successful and prominent posters on the site. It is terrible.
