The fireworks are in the bed. The bed isn’t very strongly separated from the cab, and there’s a gap at the front of the bed where the cover rolls up into, which exits underneath for drainage. The bed cover however is metal so stands up to the pressure for a bit longer, you see the flame propagating through the weaker pathways first, then in the next frame the cover blows off upwards.
I bet the truck still drives if it didn’t burn up.

Keep in mind that whenever Autopilot crashes a car, Tesla always says that since the telemetry said that it was disengaged 0.001 seconds before impact, the crash was the driver’s fault for not intervening and the self-driving system operated flawlessly.

You can’t trust anything Tesla says.
 
You people are retarded. The fact is, Tesla's exploding battery is the bomb. I can fit a smaller explosive device that costs less materials for a smaller explosion. It was a terrorist attack, fucking face it. On a holiday. It was probably the Muslims again. Meaning this was a coordinated terrorist attack.

That is a factor. That said I don't think that would extend to battery monitoring strictly for legal reasons.

I dont know the intention of the perp but he inadvertently might have done Tesla a solid: if it was a diesel or gas car with a full tank, he could´ve made a way bigger impact with the propper rigging.

Teslas are already known for exploding, although more often in China than in the US. This one was in Florida during Hurricane Helene.

My bet is this was intended to be a relatively harmless political stunt, but the retard accidentally set the fireworks off while still sitting in the truck, so turned it into a lame suicide bombing instead.
