Elon did not end political favouritism, he tuned the site so it would amplify everything pro-republican and suppress everything anti-republican. He also didn't end censorship, not even politically motivated one, as he censored the Vance dossier.

This is what motivates him, not money.
His supposed financial sacrifice was not a sacrifice at all. The guy is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. He could lose 99.9% of his assets and still be worth hundreds of millions, which is to say, fantastically rich beyond what a person can reasonably spend in their lifetime. He doesn't care about money since he's been living with effectively infinite amounts of it since forever and will never not have that no matter what he does.
On the other hand, the guy apparently has no friends whatsoever and is alienated from even his family, aside from his mother.

If you understand that, all the retarded cringe shit he's been up to over the course of the last years suddenly makes perfect sense.

He personally set up X payouts so that accounts that lie and systematically deceive their audience make fortunes off of doing that. This is not an accident, as he personally constantly interacts with these hack grifters and amplifies them. They're his favorite sycophants and he himself has lied extensively to score asspats from them and their deceived audience.
Even if you bought into his 70IQ conception of "free speech" (which the site you are posting on right now does not, by the way, and for good reason), liberty does not require the financing and advertising of some of the worst scum society has to offer.

Due to this, I am confident that all the soy shit he says about freedums and truth and futurism is virtue signalling.
I think his implosion into overt mental illness re-contextualizes his SpaceX and Tesla activities too. I believe the goal wasn't to make the world better, but to build a statue of Elon Musk that people worship at the feet of.

He made X pretty fair and open and amplified republican voices by reposting. X is also one site out of literally every other fucking site that is run by leftists. Leftists are angry that the right has a single site they are able to speak on that leans right. 1 out of a million they could use and they can't handle it. Free speech is amazing, and I assume that if nool had the ability to keep the site going against the torrent of tranny/ fed bullshit and implement it he would.
