At least he kicked off all the UN or Indian Advertisements/public safety notices on the trending tab on day 1. Pretty much the only good thing he has done for the site.

Old Twitter Trends tab was pretty much covid 24/7 since 2020.

That said, the fact that he tried to do a deal with Don Lemon is proof that he has massive blind spots to put it mildly.

Now do not you get me wrong. Twitter as it once was was a great harvesting grounds for all the freaks of the internet, ripe for the harvesting conveniently in one pasture.
But now thanks to this beautiful loose canon we have a place where these fruits ripe with no protection can be pillaged in real time.
If Elon really wanted to stick it to the minority of mutational loads that roam the Internet, he would have bought Bsky and Mastadon and run both into the ground.

Honestly, I say that he could simply ban anyone from X, instead.

Either way, after the brouhahah that was Elon considering getting rid of blocking that ended up fizzling, I actually feel relieved that him getting rid of blocking i still in the cards.
Then again, I wonder if one big reason is that, since X is bleeding money without government support, he is depending on ads, but, since others are constantly blocking ads and refusing to buy any premium X accounts, Elon getting rid of blocking is a way of making sure that he gets ad revenue and others ubmit o buying premium accounts.

Then again, I also wonder if Elon is purposefully making things worse because he is deliberately trolling its userbase. I am definitely not he first one who made this observation, but I noticed that, whenever Elon makes or even announces a big change, there is a big backlash that makes its userbase freak out, claim tha their sources of income are being ruined, and push their Mastodon or BlueSky accounts or whatever, and say tha they are going to move... bu they almost never do. They stay on X. I feel that Elon knows tha they are oging to stay on X no matter what he does, which means that he sometimes does these things on purpose... though not always on purpose.

Fags on social media spazzing out about minor changes has been a thing since Facebook. I remember them making some minor change in 2005-2006 and my friends going apeshit over it. The failure for any Twatter clone to take off is a sign that shitting their pants and doing nothing is just part of their MO. Part of it is that Elon does like trolling his customers but most of it is that he has retarded ideas that nobody actually likes.
