Twitter was arguably one of the most toxic social media platforms for years when it was left-leaning, but it's gotten even worse after the buyout from Elon Musk and rebranding as X. Now Xitter is full to the brim of endless AI Grok slop, miggers, and jeet bots larping alt-right/white nationalists everywhere. Still, I'd never want Xitter to shut down no matter how much I dislike it as that'd contradict the values of free speech that this internet forum cherishes so deeply. Plus, Xitter is full of lolcow content perfect for documentation on this forum like the beloved namesake of this thread Elon "Elol" Musk.

Things are so competitive but Elol’s reputation is so bad that the talent that pushes AI forward is exclusively in the domain of companies like OpenAI and Anthropic. DOGE’s real purpose was feeding all kinds of great statistics collected into xAI. That was enough to stay relevant and is now in the background.

At both of my two previous jobs, each team I was on had an Indian person who praised Elon Musk. When I was a teaching assistant for the intro to programming class during my undergrad, one Indian student made an Elon Musk themed game for a project.
