Yeah that's the thing, these castration drugs when used as "puberty blockers" don't just stunt physical development, they stunt mental and emotional development too.
"Manufacturing victims" is a perfect way to describe it, it's sick, it's criminal, and Big Pharma is 100% complicit in it, knowing full well organizations like WPATH are stuffed full of fucking NAMBLA members and actively make policy based on recommendations from Eunuch fetishists and perverts who are open about getting off on castration and feminizing children.

I mean, I feel a lot for Ellen's coworkers and everyone involved in working on what was actually afaik a fairly successful show. However many millions of dollars spent and man hours went into that project for several years getting blown up by your mental defective coworker deciding that despite supposedly waiting 30+ years to show their "true selves" that they had to troon out then and there because putting it off another few years is just too much (and despite Ellen being an actor, paid for ACTING, the idea of playing the "wrong" gender by continuing to play a female character as not to disrupt the show was apparently beyond the pale and not even on the table).

It really sucks when an actor unexpectedly dies or does something retarded and gets fired during a project unexpectedly and everything gets derailed. If it's one of the main characters that needs to be killed off or written out, the show usually dies shortly after or sucks so bad that no one watches anymore anyway (Two and a half men, 70's show, Roseanne 2.0, 8 Simple Rules are the examples that come to mind). Be that as it may, if Ellen really felt her imminent troon-out was necessary and she wouldn't keep playing a female character, the professional thing to do would've been to leave. Still would've been disruptive, but in shows with an ensemble cast one character being written out or replaced may not fubar the whole thing. The worst possible way of handling it on all sides is by demanding the entire show essentially be hijacked and ran into the ground indulging one actor's mentally ill attention seeking behavior and playing it off like trooning out on a whim (or pretending a greasy bowlcut changes someone's sex) isn't weird, when let's be real, they might as well have renamed the show The Zippertits Variety Hour.

Just saying, if I were one of the people working on this show (especially another actor), I'd be fucking pissed.

She's always had kind of a wavery, tremulous voice, like she's got very little confidence and is always on the edge of tears, going right back to Juno and Hard Candy, she had that same voice right up through Beyond: Two Souls and Inception, the froggy voice has been a relatively recent development, but she's always sounded like she's about to breakdown and discuss the time Harvey Weinstein invited her over to his friend Jeffy Epsteins house to discuss a new role she'd be great for.

Self-esteem or lack thereof, unwanted sexual attention and inability to fight back, sexual assault or similar trauma either from childhood or from when they were teens.
The majority of TIFs who aren't trans because it's fashionable are trans because they want to escape their womanness. Same goes for some enbies and genderblobs.

It's something almost all women go through and one of the things TIMs will never understand, it's also the one thing that trooning out will never fix for TIFs. You'll see the same type of behaviour in other mental illnesses that have root in sexual trauma - attempts at making yourself so disgusting or so different from what you were when you were assaulted.

Her voice in that promo is tight/elevated like she's nervous, vs. how she read her audiobook or whatever. To my ear it sounds like how I speak in a 'customer service' way vs. amongst my friends. It's not a masculine voice at all obviously, but even Melissa Etheridge speaks deeper/more masc.

I recently read some anecdotal stuff about pooners taking too-big doses of T to where it doesn't let their vocal chords expand like it would if they pumped the breaks and ramped up instead a bit and that's what leaves them with the standard frog-voice. I think Elliott here may have been affected.
