DES MOINES, IA—Authorities are warning that a gang of known criminals is currently holding a meeting to debate various plots to steal your money.

The criminals are debating exactly how much of your money to steal. Some are suggesting stealing all of your money, while others would just like to steal most of your money. Whatever the case, they all agree on two things: A.) you have money and B.) it must be stolen.

"I know!" shouted one of the criminals, an older man with frizzy hair, known throughout the criminal underworld as a seasoned veteran when it comes to stealing people's money. "We could lower ourselves in through people's roofs and grab stuff like in that new movie the kids are talking about, Impossible Mission!"

"That movie is called Die Tough, you dummy," snapped one female gangster with the chiseled features of a Native American. "I think we should lie in wait in the bushes outside the mouth of a canyon in the American Southwest. Then, when the unsuspecting white man comes riding through on his horse or Tesla, we tomahawk 'em." She made a tomahawk gesture with her hand, only for another elderly man on the other side of her to grab her hand and begin sniffing it.

"Stealing money is an American pastime," he said as the frightened woman pulled her hand away. "Back in the '20s, Hotbox Nixon and Tommy-Gun Joe and I used to go driving around, taking down no-good ne'er-do-wells with our Tommy guns. Pow! Bang! Rat-a-tat-tat!"

"What were we talking about again?" he asked, snapping out of a daydream and realizing he'd been addressing a blank wall the entire time.

These goofy criminals may seem like characters out of a family-friendly screwball comedy, but authorities have warned that their plans to steal your money are very, very real.

So, the problem that I have with Bernie's communist spiel about children going hungry because of "greedy billionaires receiving trillions of dollars in 'tax cuts'" is that if the government attempted to seize those funds through increased taxation, they would be offshored immediately, they wouldn't just pay the taxes.
Unless Uncle Bernie intends to try and start wars with countries that are friendly to the financial interests of the richest Americans?
That last question made for a bizarre format for closing arguments, or whatever they all decided to do instead.

I wouldn't say they are unable to do the same. I would say liberal policies have disincentives them to do so. That's why reparations is such a stupid idea. Just giving people money doesn't make people's lives better.
 
I find it funny that the democratic debate is the highest trending topic on twitter, is in the pseudo adspace, and yet still can't beat Vindman being fired.

Twitter can't even into MSM right, it's pretty adorable.

Fuck they tried downplaying the SOTU and I'm pretty sure it has comparable numbers.

Blacks were on a path to that. The point of turnaround for any such immigrant or minority population seems to be when a certain threshold, somewhere around 40% of them reach the status of Second Generation Middle Class. That's when they for the most part become "Just Like Us" and team up with their neighbors at hating on the next new group. After being artificially held back from that for several decades, Blacks were on the glide path to hit it. Probably in the mid to late 80's/early 90's. Then Johnson's Great Society happened. It shattered the Black Nuclear Families and encouraged all the wrong economic behaviors.

To dig into it more I would recommend exploring some of the writings of Thomas Sowell.

You assume that they haven't. Even with the disproportional crime rates, it's not as if black people are totally good-for-nothings that haven't taken advantage of their freedom from slavery and then from discrimination. Literally, you brought up the fact that Irish communities were tied up with the mob. How is that any different in essence from the gangs that plague African-American communities?

Also, you're missing the matter of the immigration of the mentioned groups. The Irish, Chinese, and Japanese all chose to come here. The cultural foundations aren't only different between cultures themselves, but in the general driving motivations for those groups. With the aforementioned groups as well, there also wasn't the crushing demoralization brought along by the hasty conclusion of the Reconstruction that allowed Jim Crow laws to gain popularity and revitalize racism against blacks. ADD: There's also all of what @RodgerDodger said-- the regularized destabilization of the African-American nuclear family isn't something suffered by the Chinese, Japanese, or Irish.

There's a lot of reasons why each of these immigrant groups developed differently in the States because even disregarding the circumstances that brought them into the States, they have different histories.

More on topic: post debate segment. Warren just called Trump "most corrupt president in history".

You make good points. I specifically brought up the mob because I was trying to equate it with inner city gangs, but perhaps I didn't do so clearly.

And RodgerDodger pretty much explained it for me. I had thought that the collapse of the black nuclear family had happened in the late 70s, which mad eit harder for me to understand.

Since I interact with inner-city black youth frequently, I was just confused why they have the whole anti-intellectualism (that almost reminds me of the CCP and Chinese (???)) occured/occurs there and not in the other three groups I mentioned. But thank you for your explanation, it was narrow-minded of me to not take into account their history as well.
