We used to do official movie nights but I had trouble keeping up with them from Australia

As far as money goes, I don't like advertising. I'll accept BTC to deal with your software and server problems, but from what @Likeicare said, ED would be too prideful to allow that.

We been doing movie nights every week for 2 years straight with no end in site, maxed out with about 120 viewers a year ago, average about 40 now days. If you want to bring back movie nights for your site we can make it Ediots/Kiwi movie channel. It's ran on a third party site anyway so neutral ground

Do you play movies or just random shit? We'd watch one RLM best-of-the-worst class movie and a few lolcow videos beforehand. I always liked showing DSP stuff.

We do a 14 hour marathon every Saturday, usually on a theme. Last week was clown movies. Random anything gets played throughout the week, we give playlist rights to anyone who asks. There's a few DSP nuts on board so if you want to watch him make an egg sandwich that's cool

When I ran these movie nights, we'd get about 30-40 people, just showcasing it to established users with long-term accounts. I'm debating this in my head, because I had to upgrade my second webserver from $20/mo 2 cores to $40/mo 4 cores today to handle additional load. Accepting something like 0.1/BTC a week for features would help out with those kinds of expenses. However, I'm also acutely aware that people liked watching movies in a cozy setting. I don't know if people would get the same sort of satisfaction watching with ED. I think they might, I even liked watching movies with /cow/, but yea.


And Adam Sandler fucking blows and needs to end his life. I hope you play the RLM Jack and Jill review too.

I like the idea of it being a 16 hour marathon instead of a single movie, makes it a lot easier to just swing by whenever instead of having to be there when the movie starts. I never showed up to the official kiwi movie nights but I'd show up for this.

But I'm biased because I love our new EDF fronds.
