that was boring garbage and I can't even play it because i won't drop four figures on a VR kit and it certainly isn't selling me on one

Why would someone playing this on VR actually hold their hand up against an imaginary wall as if to stabilize themselves? Does it actually have some benefit in the game or is this all bullshit?
You might be able to "pull" yourself forward slightly? Then again these scripted gameplay things are always super out of touch with how people actually play games. Look at any Ubisoft "gameplay" that features multiplayer "chat".

That's it. See you tomorrow for Capcom

It's going to depend on the game because yes that is a mechanic in some VR games that have climbing. You have to reach one hand out to stabilize your character and then pull the other hand in and other similar motions.

I would be the greatest host for one of these shows.

I'd just be like "I'm not doing this stupid skit and acting like a faggot, here's another crafting game for you to shit all over."

Edit: Did they just show us a blooper for what was supposed to be the live part BEFORE the pre recorderd part? Wouldn't that mean the live part was...pre recorded?

My best guess? Its an instinctual reaction. One gameplay mechanic in alyx only exists because playtesters would react to toxic spores by trying to cover their mouth with their hands to hold their breath.
