E3 2021 Griefing Thread - Now with more nigger pandering, does anyone even care about most of the games displayed here seriously? (Spoiler alert Nintendo won lol)
This regularly shows up in Magic the Gathering marketing(or it did a couple years ago, Wizards might of fixed it by now). Now if you're not a physical game sperg there is no purple pip on the back of Magic cards, that's a fan mock up on an April Fool's issue of Inquest from the late 90's about Wizards adding a sixth color to the game.
However, if you Google "Magic the Gathering card back" it's one of the top 5 results and of the highest resolution by far, and marketing is often done by a separate company that will use online resources instead of bugging the company for it. (When I read up about this, it was said that it was common practice to tell marketing companies that generic images could be sourced online rather than giving them everything they could need, but I don't know how true that is)
Pay attention to the actual words? Fuck Microsoft for their double-speak and sly linguistics, which they do on purpose to confuse people and give them wiggle room to backtrack.

What pisses me off about Microsoft, is that they used to be the best by a country mile(IMO) then pissed it all away sometime around 2010, and have never got it back. The last decade of Xbox has been the worst console experience i've seen/had. But because the big bucks keep rolling in from Daddy Microsoft, the Xbox division can be used for R&D, a backdoor in to streaming, a back door in to introducing mobile games to console in a major way and a tax write-off.
Do people really think Elder Scrolls VI is going to be shown today? I'm seeing it a lot on other forums and I'm just confused as to why anyone thinks considering they said Starfield was the next game and we went through a whole year of Covid set backs...

Yeah while I don't think Starfield is going to be a GOAT or anything, I'm interested in it. Like I thought Fallout 4 was a disappointment but still had fun with it but at the same time I can only imagine how wonky Bethesda physics will work in a space game...

Despite what people think, Bethesda re configuring the engine isn't something abnormal in the industry. At this point they're too used to the thing to go with something entirely new.

It's not uncommon but most devs that stick to a single engine for ages stick to it because it's reliable. If it ain't broke don't fix it? Well Gamebryo 3.0 is absolutely broken. That or Bethesda are so incompetent that they struggle to work with an engine that they've used for decades. Either way it's not an incredible look for them.
