I'd be surprised if it weren't Byleth or Sothis from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It's being released next month and clearly we need an EIGHTH Fire Emblem character

At least most Fire emblem characters bring a little something different, not counting the echo fighters with Chrom/Lucina which to me are just freebies and hardly count as real characters like Ike, Marth, and Roy. Ike is the heavy swordsman that hits really hard with big range, Marth has tipper spacing, Roy is rush down heavy with very aggressively set up moves made to just run up and hit people, Corrin has pin and a projectile, and Robin is basically an entirely different character. Sure they all wield a sword, but they still play fairly differently, though I'd like a Hector or an Ephraim to show up.

I have no idea what Byleth/Sothis would even do, I've followed 3 houses fairly extensively and Byleth doesn't seem to have much of anything notable about him beyond being a sword lord and Sothis has just been napping or sitting around most of these trailers. Maybe they'll use Edelgard which gives us at least an axe user.

I more like to think of it as "Bethesda is a total shitshow which just so happens to have Doom held hostage as an extremely well-timed diversion."

Though on the note of the new Doom game - the last information I had on it made it seem like it's an unapologetic middle finger to woke culture. I do hope that remains the case with a side dish of an absolutely fucking banging soundtrack yet again. That shit was on point in its first installment (of this latest attempt at the franchise).
