SONY AND ACTIVISION ARE PARTNERING TO MAKE A CALL OF DUTY VR GAME

OH GOD THERES EVEN MORE RIOTING IN THE STREETS

EDIT: Current status report:

So is Activision/Sony showing off 4player coop like they just invented it?

Not surprised in Sony adopting Call of Duty at all, but that's not necessarily for the better imo. I always took it to be the low point of Microsoft's E3, as you knew that cancer was still being fed.

I honestly thought it looked neat as fuck. I don't think it will be a game that sells millions, but the crowd it does attract will probably create some great things.

Exactly - like G Mod, or even Spore. The problem with all these titles is they're not all that compelling sorely on their own. It's the interaction that makes the game enjoyable - at least for me, and Dreams doesn't seem like a game that will include that type of thing. It's more like The Directors (? -That old movie-making game that was similar in aesthetics to The Sims).

[UPDATE]:
Someone please tell me, did anyone get the impression of Crysis from that first CoD trailer? Because that's what it felt like. Power armour, suit abilities, interesting weapons, but little else. Good god, it's become one of the most overrated franchises of 2007.

Pretty underwhelming second trailer too. Got half-a-dozen impressions of Titanfall within the first 10 seconds.

Project Morpheus = this generation's eyetoy?

As in very popular, new accessory of the PS2 age? Or the one that failed so hard last generation? They really needed a visual demonstration in the same way that HoloLens did, but I suppose we might get better impressions through the stage demo they talked about.

Holy shit this Disney Infinity guy is so fucking hyped for his announcement. Sony's conference is definitely winding down now.

I just like the style Dream is taking compared to those games. It's not so much about multiplayer or building something, but rather sharing something that you experienced in a sort of paint-like game world. It almost reminds me of LSD.

Battlefront looked pretty interesting, if not for an environment wholly different from the one pushed by CoD and Battlefield for the last 5 or 6 years.

I see I'm not the only one who got annoyed by the Lucasfilm guy. Also, great way to fuck up your closing, Sony! Uncharted trailer snafus galore.

On all. I think Sony's conference was okay, but besides new games, it's nothing groundbreaking. But then again I'm not really sold on VR, remakes and various flavors of FPS.

That epic fail with Uncharted was hilarious. Someone probably didn't turn their controller on and failed the part. XD Hello the next Giant Enemy Crab!!!

Started off very strong, but too much time dedicated to COD and Lucasarts

I wonder if the game montage just before cod replaced something they took out? Playstation Now perhaps?

That conference was pretty cool. I think it's better than the Xbox one IMO.

Alright, my final rants amount the conferences...

The Last Guardian
Huh... it actually does exist.... and boy is this kid going to get annoying fast. So was the wait worth it? Because I know I'm jaded as fuck but... I'm not sold.

Next game... Horizon: Zero Dawn. looks like Enslaved: Into the West mixed with Tomb Raider for the next generation. Also congrats to the game for being the first game to feature a non-brunette female lead I've seen all E3.

HITMAN! Nothing really shown except the new trailer. Shows a younger looking Agent 47. Diana is back. Glad to see it.

More SFV. Featured Cammy and Birdie.

More No Man's Sky. So essentially this is a random map generator. Again, I'm not all that amazed by this yet.

Hey it's Chris' favorite game company outside of the one with the Blue-Armed Hedgehog. Something called Dreams. Looks interesting.

Am I the only one that finds Adam Boyes annoying? Seriously every year he shows up I just sigh and hope he will shut up and stop thinking he's funny.

Newest DLC for Destiny. I'll let @Jaimas explain this since I haven't even started playing the game outside of the beta.

AC:Syndicate. ANOTHER brunette female lead. Seriously, remember when he were all complaining about gruff buzzcut solider dudes? I think this is the newest trope.

New Final Fan.... what the fuck am I looking at? Final Fantasy chibi edition? WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY?

Ah, here's that Final Fantasy Seven remake. Wait... "Play it first on Playstation 4?" Does that mean it's coming out for PC as well?

And Shenmue 3 kickstarter announced... so essentially this e3 conference has been nothing but "You know those games that were supposed to be released, well here you go." Also, with Sony pulling Yu Suzuki onto the stage... I dunno, it feels like Sony is just gloating over killing the Dreamcast years ago, now they rub it without actually having to fund Suzuki's game directly.

Arkham Knight trailer... huh... guess Joker really IS dead.

More VR stuff that they're just glossing over. I have a feeling this is going to be the next Playstation Move. And more television bullshit.

BLOPS3 footage. It's... Future Warfare Part Deux.

More Disney Infinity bullshit. The speaker is WAAAAY too excited about plastic toys.

And wraps up with Uncharted 4... playing on a broken PS4. Nice way to end the show, Sony.

ANNNND NOT A SINGLE MENTION OF THE VITA.

Also I just checked the Shenmue kickstarter. Already over half a million.

Thought that by the vehicle section of Uncharted 4, they'd turned God Mode on. That vehicle took way too little damage, and Nathan took no damage from any of the shots.

Overall, Sony's conference - like Microsoft's - looked okay. They did announce a few long-awaited titles, but they were just that - long-awaited titles. I was expecting Last Guardian for the PS3 when it was announced.

In essence, they played it pretty safe. Didn't push it too far, but there were some quality games to expect in-between.

Alright, my final rants amount the conferences...

It was pretty underwhelming. Seemed like a lame consolation for not keeping XV or the VII remake as an exclusive. A side-game, like Theathrhythm, but no idea on whether it will be as good as say, Bravely Default.

I daresay it might even go multi-platform like XIII. I would say PC is a given, it's whether it will also hit the XBox One remains the question.

Okay so I think Sony did just as well as Microsoft. While they didn't really offer anything particularly groundbreaking, the games announced got me interested. The conference died down fucking FAST at the end which was disappointing compared to the Microsoft one which I feel only had a few hiccups.
Excited for tomorrow! And I know this was mentioned, but...
Shenmue 3 is definitely happening. 500k in less than an hour? Done deal.
