Seriously, you would think that Gundam Wing was a show about gay men being kawaii instead of war and politics along with a strong female lead who ends up becoming the most powerful politican in the world, but she is bashed so much by the fangirls.

I love the show, but stay away from the fandom. It is interesting that this lolcow came up now, because I found episodes of Gundam wing for free on this website and have been planning on re-watching the whole series.

Yeah, I was really really really into all the Gundam shows that Bandai were bringing to the west about 12-13 years ago and it was a twisted mindfuck to my relatively virgin mind what the yaoi fangirls were spinning out of Wing. And it was pretty ridiculous how they minimized Relena Peacecraft's role.

The freak in the title here is like all of my Gundam Wing-related disgust personified, times 10. Man, I just got brought back to the past in a bad way.

I have now changed my avatar into a Relena/Heero just in "honor" of this lolcow. I was about seven, or eight when Gundam Wing aired. The most I got into the fandom was playing games at toonami.com so I didn't see any freakin yaoi, or art. Thank God. I love Relena Peacecraft, with the exception of Sailor Moon, most of toonami shows were mainly about boys. I loved the fact the show had a strong female lead that was a politician and took an active role in what was happening around her.

I was sad to see when I finally looked up Gundam Wing online all the hate against her. Relena Peacecraft is seriously the most underrated female anime character ever.

Then again I found a fic where Heero was impregnated by all the other Wing boys at the same time. The Gundam Wing fandom definitely excelled in the department of underpants-on-head batshit insanity.

I think the author's name was Sephiroth, and she wrote ass-tons of GW fic about Duo being raped and/or impregnated by various entities. Pretty sure Heero fathered a few assbabies, then there were at least a couple where Duo had sex with his Gundam. My favorite was the aforementioned story where Duo is inexplicably raped by a random panther and has catgirl babies that he and the panther raise together.

Yeah, this fandom is insane.

One thing i've never understood about the particuarly creepy lolcows is they always have the same bizare choice fetishes. It's always really weird transformations, furry shit and diapers. Or in the case of the lesser spotted female lolcow like DuoSmexyMaxwell yaio and mpreg. You'd think they'd all draw unique fap fuel that we lesser folk could not even begin to comprehend.

Yeah, there are a few Wing fans still active and around. A fandom that was that big and intense never dies completely, and a lot of the active fans remaining seem to be some of he most batshit insane ones like this girl.

Ah, the Relena hate. That was special. A friend of mine cosplayed Relena and was harassed out of a meet for it in 2008. She probably has some of the most intense hate I've ever seen for a fictional character, and it was mainly for having a vagina and getting in the way of a nonexistant yaoi romance.

I'm a grouchy UC elitist when it comes to my Gundamns and have never been much for Wing (my avatar is actually a somewhat obscure piece of UC faggotry). I was around when Wing was in its heyday and I can tell you the insanity of the Wing fandom was a HUUUGE contributor to the tension between it and the other Gundam fandoms, since the UC and other fans wanted to distance themselves as much as possible from it and some fans ended up getting a bit overzealous in their attempts.

Still, the UC fandom at its worst is nowhere near as bad as Wing at its worst. Between the crazy weird fetish shit, harassing people for liking Relena (including in person at cons), harassing people for making sites about Gundam series other than Wing (this happened to a friend of mine), insulting other Gundam series because they weren't Wing and DIDN'T HAVE ANY BISHIES OH NOEZ1!!11, and in general being the Homestuck or Hetalia fandom of its day in terms of batshit fucking insanity, they outdo even the most condescending, stuck-up UC fanboy in terms of unpleasantness by a long shot.

That said, this girl is kooky enough to be entertaining at least. Especially with the bad MS paint mpreg and MS paint shooping attempts.

That reminds me a story I heard from a Relena/Heero shipper that when he(I think it was a guy, not completely sure) said at a con he didn't think that the Gundam Wing boys were gay, the fangirls went batshit on him and screamed at him until he was in tears. Ironically this person shipped yaoi in Card Captor Sakura, which does have a canon gay male pairing.

Seriously, being harassed at a con for a cosplay? That is just insane and in '08, I thought these fangirls would be grown up enough now to get over their hate. Seriously, I have never heard someone being harassed before for just cosplaying a certain character. The Wing fandom is very....autistic...I'll admit. Sadly, that keeps the sane fans away and makes the fandom even more crazier.

I was into Wing fandom a little bit back in the day. It was my first experience with really crazy fangirls. The Relena hate always baffled me - like, she was kind of an irritating chick*, but that hardly seemed to warrant the insane amounts of frothing vitriol aimed her way. I couldn't believe how batshit the fandom was toward anything with a vajayjay.

Yeeeep, from the 08th manga that ran in Gundam ACE a few years back (it has some pretty QUALITY art). If you're at all involved in the UC fandom, you can probably figure out who I am

My friend said the girls who harassed her were college age at least. So not only do you have Wing fans freaking out over this shit years after the fandom has started to die down, but they were adults as well. I guess that just goes to show just how bad the Wing fandom was/is

Unfortunately that's far from the only instance of someone getting harassed for cosplaying a certain character I've heard. People who cosplay female characters from popular series with large hatedoms from the yaoi fanbrats are at particular risk for it.

In other news, our Duo here seems to be on a Naruto kick as of late. She seems to have Sasuke as another on of her headmates/imaginary friends. Wonder how many SasuNaru butt babies have happened in astral crazyland?
