To take that seriously, if you think about it, it doesn't make sense to be mad about that unless you hate people and demand that they keep giving you what you want despite them having no incentive to. Your audience is never under an obligation to follow you throughout your whole career, their time and money are theirs to do with what they want, and no one who makes entertainment DOESN'T have the same approach with their own free time and money. PewDiePie doesn't feel bad that he doesn't watch every movie some actor stars in, I don't expect, and that's perfectly fine, as long as he doesn't also expect that his fans carve out an exemption for him (which I imagine he doesn't).

And this goes doubly so when the entertainer has fucked themselves so much over the years that their audience is forced to take a downgrade, constantly, in order to keep following their career. It's not just Phil who is affected by his stupid decisions, he drags his fans through the mud too if they give in to his guilt-tripping to never leave him, their reps online have been spiraling downward just like his for years now. And the value never goes up on their investment, only down, with their star never ceasing his demands on them to keep him afloat with no regard for their autonomy or well-being.

No one should ever get comfortable when they depend upon having fans for a living, or lack the decency to refrain from guilt-tripping said fans into staying loyal. Always look to give them incentive by offering value, don't seek loyalty, seek your own skill at being adaptive. You'll be better off career-wise and able to walk with pride, two things Phil will never know a damn thing about.
