That's what is so infuriating about it. After over a decade we get a "sequel" that has no parity with the online game but worst of all not even with the first game. The improvement in graphical fidelity is pointless.
 
They should take denuvo out of the game and let the piracy scene get ahold of it. It might boost popularity somewhat.

I genuinely have no idea why they seem to dislike the IP so much, my two theories are.

1 - They view it as an inferior Monster Hunter because it doesn't immediately sell 20 million copies in a week.

2 - They really hate Itsuno for whatever reason.
 
Kinda wild that two years later this thing still has both Denuvo and Enigma protector, I understand that Capcom is infamous for being psycho about piracy but the idea that e thieves are lining up to steal this of all things is pretty lulzy.

What's with the sudden and obvious shilling campaign on Twitter ? Rumors of a DLC, which is unlikely, pop up and completely organic people start talking like DD2 was amazing and only idiots tarnished its reputation.

Well yeah, everyone (read - Hipster dickheads) wants to say they were playing the latest Cult Classic before it reached Cult Classic status.
