None of this matters since the biggest issue extreme lack of enemy variety still exists. It's crazy they did that, would it have been that hard to throw 3-4 of the Dark Arisen/BBI creatures in there?

Thankfully a lot of these changes are configurable. If the author forced you to accept gameplay changes that disrupted the balance then it probably wouldn't be worth considering. He must have added in the pawn brine change recently, that's definitely getting turned off 100% of the time. Some of these changes are really unnecessary, and give me vibes of some of the retarded "fixes" in the unofficial patch for Skyrim. Couple things in particular stand out.
"Your damage no longer scales with body size (yes, it did before)." This is intentional. Bigger characters do more damage than smaller ones, smaller characters are faster and have better stamina etc. The way your body size/proportions actually impact gameplay is a unique feature intended to make you actually think about how you build your characters. This isn't a "fix" it's something this author personally doesn't like.
Same goes for the "Pawns will no longer die to the brine but they'll spawn back at the position where they jumped off, just like the player". Not a bug, didn't need "fixing". Fix it so pawns don't jump to their deaths like retards instead, since that's been the real issue since DD1.
Everything else seems fine, and I didn't even know some of these things were happening. Or not happening in the case of night rain lol.
Even worse, they had a whole entourage of creatures from Online and I think the Sphinx was the only one that got added. Not even the hydra made it. I'm still mad.None of this matters since the biggest issue extreme lack of enemy variety still exists. First time? Capcom does this to basically every franchise that isn't the top three of Monster Hunter, Resident Evil,. or Street Fighter.A PNG, that's how Capcom is celebrating one year.
Ho Le Fuck.
thank you for that, nigger. Its almost been a year since the games release and im still in doubt we be getting any new content. Oddly enough, there was a video just released of the game.

You can skip most of it if you want but the "It gets worse" section is a bit interesting. The gist is the guy thinks the hole games story was a metaphor for what's going inside Capcom HQ. Everything staying the same and nothing changes. I said it myself a few pages back, that i thought part of Dragon's Dogma 2 story was an outlet for Itsuno to vent out his frustrations about life and becoming old. Still, if any of it is remotely true, I rather just get a good game then hearing old man yelling at clouds.
I also laughed at the Monster Hunter bit for Capcoms clear bias towards the franchise.
Hey know, at least the two first ones get content. Ish. Street Fighter gets stickers for chat usage or an accessory for the avatar fighters nobody use.First time? Capcom does this to basically every franchise that isn't the top three of Monster Hunter, Resident Evil,. or Street Fighter.
Massive fan of DD1 in spite of it's numerous issues. Got it day one on 360 and played it for hundreds of hours, even made alt accounts to build my perfect team of pawns for every comp for every account. Soon as it came out on Ps4 I got it and did it again. How big of a fan of DD1 were you? I consider DD2 to be an extremely severe downgrade in almost every way.
Not necessarily on the dlc. The dude who did Dogma Online and Dark Arisen is still around. Itsuno had zero to do with either of those, so for anyone willing to huff copium there's that. Also keep in mind that this game lacks any sort of endgame or post game campaign whatsoever and probably will never get one now that Itsuno has left Capcom.
True. But remember, they consider it a success and a new flagship IP apparently. Itsuno said it's exactly what he wanted and how he envisioned DD1. Just ignore all evidence to the contrary.Capcom has also not addressed any of the horrific performance issues, this game is borderline abandonware.
I would ask the fan what exactly it was they liked about DD1 before recommending it, even at 20 bucks. Otherwise the best I could do is "well it's prettier than the first game".Even for $20 I would only recommend it to a huge fan.
I didn't like the new physics much. Everything felt heavier and more restricted when it came to jumping and climbing. DD1 was fun because it was clear it knew it was a anime game and tossed realism out of the window. How big of a fan of DD1 were you? Did we play the same game?I didn't like the new physics much. Everything felt heavier and more restricted when it came to jumping and climbing.
at least there is some vindication in seeing how MH is being sharted on for being shit.Live and learn. Fuck Capcom and never break your own rule of never pre-ordering.
