Its almost been a year since the games release and im still in doubt we be getting any new content. Oddly enough, there was a video just released of the game.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=8xtQ2STDEq8
You can skip most of it if you want but the "It gets worse" section is a bit interesting. The gist is the guy thinks the hole games story was a metaphor for what's going inside Capcom HQ. Everything staying the same and nothing changes. I said it myself a few pages back, that i thought part of Dragon's Dogma 2 story was an outlet for Itsuno to vent out his frustrations about life and becoming old. Still, if any of it is remotely true, I rather just get a good game then hearing old man yelling at clouds.

I also laughed at the Monster Hunter bit for Capcoms clear bias towards the franchise.
Pretty good video, but I was expecting the twist where he says the game is unfinished and it never happened.
It's disingenuous to say the Unmoored World is the true "Dragon's Dogma 2" and not mention how little content there is to it.
But other than that I agree with him, the game is really good.

@Gravityqueen4life
I skipped to the "it gets worse" and was intrigued by his idea enough that I'm gonna go back and watch the video in full, and give actual thoughts on it because I like to pretend my opinion matters.
As for your hopes of maybe getting some Dogma news now that Wilds is finally out? Don't hold your breath. Wilds clearly got rushed out the door. There's performance issues all over the place, a glaring lack of content, and they've gotta get the fast approaching Title Update 1 ready for April. As well as the others we're supposed to get before end of summer. Capcom is gonna keep all hands on deck on Wilds for a while longer.

Edit: watched the full video. It did, in fact, get worse, because it just circled around to making excuses for why the first game was so barebones and how it's actually totally intentional that the sequel repeated all of the exact same mistakes because it's an allegory for Itsuno's disillusionment with Crapcom's corporate structure. I had a longer sperg about it but whatever.

Tldr: I don't agree.

Its over...

It's fucking over Dogma bros. I think I'll just play Dark Arisen again, never did do a magic class. Good thing I never bought 2, I'd be so fucking pissed right now.

I highly doubt this is an Elden Ring situation where a DLC is going to drop two years after the fact. Game is dead in the water.

There are also apparently some pretty cool mods for DA that change magic stuff. Might be worth looking into.

Someone started an unofficial patch project since Capcom won't fix their own game. Good changes so far and it seems like the uploader will be continuing work on this for awhile.

I am not just coping over the fact that I dropped money on this garbage or anything.
Some of these changes are really unnecessary, and give me vibes of some of the retarded "fixes" in the unofficial patch for Skyrim. Couple things in particular stand out.

"Your damage no longer scales with body size (yes, it did before)." This is intentional. Bigger characters do more damage than smaller ones, smaller characters are faster and have better stamina etc. The way your body size/proportions actually impact gameplay is a unique feature intended to make you actually think about how you build your characters. This isn't a "fix" it's something this author personally doesn't like.

Same goes for the "Pawns will no longer die to the brine but they'll spawn back at the position where they jumped off, just like the player". Not a bug, didn't need "fixing". Fix it so pawns don't jump to their deaths like retards instead, since that's been the real issue since DD1.

Everything else seems fine, and I didn't even know some of these things were happening. Or not happening in the case of night rain lol.
