Capcom shipped out a dev build for an upcoming patch of Dragon's Dogma 2 without denuvo, meaning it can now be pirated.
Some guy was able to bring up a developer menu with lists of future DLC (but no idea if they are scrapped or not)

Bottom text apparently says "Multiplayer mode [Tower of the new moon]"

You guys think the rumored DLC is gonna come out or is Capcom just gonna wash their hands and walk away?
I hope so, man. Dark Arisen turned vanilla DD around from the brink of total irrelevance into just mostly irrelevant cult classic.

I haven’t played 2 since launch week but some patch notes look promising and a DA-level addition might just be what gets me interested again.

Also, $40 for an 8 month old single player game around Black Friday is perfectly normal. I’d worry if it was getting to Witcher 3 levels of “Buy the game now PLEASE.”

Please no. Fucking please. The amount of work that would be needed to implement a Co-op system in a game that was clearly NOT built for it would be insane. It'd be such a massive fucking waste of time and resources.

I'll be real, and this might be a no-no for most fans, but I really didn't care for Dark Arisen that much. Bitterblack was just a copy of the Everfall; fun for a few runs but there still wasn't enough variety. Plus the purification and ring farming was just brutal if you wanted to get anything good without doing 20 chest/daimon speed runs.

The challenge was definitely nice, Daimon and Death were cool as fuck, and the lyrical version of Coils of Light is Top 10 Anime openings material. But it really didn't do much to address any of the issues the game had.

I remember being huge on DD suddenly and playing it a ton, reaching that one fucking DLC tower and just being bottomed. And the whole online dragon leaderboard shit? Was wacky as hell.

I'd want to get DD2 at some point cause I love companions and pawns, but if it still runs like absolute shit, meh

DD2 would be drastically better if the devs made a few more enemie types.
Fighting the same few enemies for the 10s of hours the game contains does get boring.
The combat mechanics itself already work, it's the lack of variety itself which makes it boring.

Maybe they shouldn't have made the sequel even more simplistic and feature barren than the original which was already incomplete.
The RE Engine also didn't help. I feel like if they made DD2 sooner on the MT Framework engine Monster Hunter World used it would have been a lot better at least performance wise.

RE engine was specifically made for linear games with maybe 4 npcs on the screen at once, anything else and it shits itself down to 15fps.

Makes me worried about the next MH. If towns in DD2 are any indication the hub area is going to be horrific.

Actual autism for the most part.

>I play with all men because they're better suited for combat

Nigger this is a sword and sorcery setting. You're killing dragons. Men have as much of a chance at doing that as women because it's literal fantasy. This is culture war faggotry in the opposite direction.

>game calls me a faggot for surrounding myself with men

The game also says the same line for all beast pawns and all female pawns. And it calls you out if you and/or your pawns are all naked too. So getting mad the game comments on what you do is just retarded. Plus the anon is unironically complaining the game comments on his actual preference for an all male team is actually some comment about him being a faggot reeks of self reporting.

>screenshot of an old lady pawn
Ok? The game has a robust character creator and you can make ugly old ladies.

Basically you're dumb. The games issues have literally nothing to do with any of this gay ass culture war horseshit. It's just a shit game that repeated every single mistake it's predecessor did, while introducing a whole host of its own problems.

Woke guys like Rick, who likely have autogynephilia, should be banned on this platform. Pushing the fantasy trope of the female warrior is woke, while at the same moment they erase feminine women. Even a fantasy setting, which clearly portraits humans from the Earth in this case, needs to have a logically working world. "It's literal fantasy" that's why it repeats woke politics from the real world, aka women are the same as men, blacks need to have representation in an European medieval setting. A Japanese game should only have Japanese people in it to begin with.

Finally managed to make this run on Linux without crashing. Good combat that was wasted on a bland world with bad enemy variety.
The most fun I had was ignoring the terrible quests and just running around killing stuff.
I predict a half baked DLC that brings back enemies from the first game like the hydra.

Its almost been a year since the games release and im still in doubt we be getting any new content. Oddly enough, there was a video just released of the game.

You can skip most of it if you want but the "It gets worse" section is a bit interesting. The gist is the guy thinks the hole games story was a metaphor for what's going inside Capcom HQ. Everything staying the same and nothing changes. I said it myself a few pages back, that i thought part of Dragon's Dogma 2 story was an outlet for Itsuno to vent out his frustrations about life and becoming old. Still, if any of it is remotely true, I rather just get a good game then hearing old man yelling at clouds.

I also laughed at the Monster Hunter bit for Capcoms clear bias towards the franchise.

I'm just hoping for the year anniversary Capcom drops Denuvo and cuts the price to something like $20 (on sale). The mod scene looks pretty good but since I've already held out this long I can hold out longer.

Capcom doesn't remove DRM for old games anymore.

They do remove Deuvo after a year but they just replace it with Enigma.
