"Arisen, pray tell, why do you not retain pawns of dark pigmentation? They are bound to serve you all the same."

"Immersive QoL" mod
Makes the fantasy medieval Europe game world more believable by removing all the out of place hairstyles, skintones, and faces.

Removes all blacks from the game. Removes all 'black' hairstyles from the game. Removes all black faces from the game. And the crime rate drops by 60% in the kingdom.

The mod was banned from Nexus shortly after it was published. See the included Readme for more details. Install with Fluffy Mod Manager.

So, not too far into the game as of yet, mostly just been experimenting with the starting vocations to see what I like. I will admit, I'm enjoying the game so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do the later I get into the story and such. That said, I would like some tips.

For my Arisen, I was leaning more towards picking the ranged options; Mage and Archer both feel nice, with the former having a nice healing option and the later having good damage. Conversely, for my main Pawn, I was leaning more towards a melee build for keeping enemies busy/close range combat.

Anyone have suggestions/recommendations for Vocations? I know Thief is pretty strong in the endgame, but what about Mage, Archer, and Fighter? Furthermore, should I swap to the Sorcerer or Magick Archer when I unlock them, or stick with the base classes? Any tips?

Itsuno is a retard and I'm assmad. There's no excuse for how 2 turned out. I don't think any dlc could fix this up to even Vanilla DD1 standards in any way.

Looks great, character creation is still great, animations are nice, and that's it. This game was literally just a test run for Monster Hunter Wilds.

the rumour that Capcom released the game early to please investors/the stock market seems more believable by the day.

I guess if you've played the first one, it's expected to draw comparison.
I never did play the first one, but I did have some fun with this release, initially at least.
But, I found the game to be incredibly easy combat wise and the RPG elements, especially quests, lacking.
Well, it was a fun little nibble, but I'm now waiting for the main course (Elden Ring DLC).

Oh yeah, so far, Capcom's patches to this game do not inspire confidence at all.

A bitterblack isle style mega dungeon with a couple of outdoor areas to explore would help a lot, I think.

It is fucking ABSURD that this is a game that didn't even really match the first outing in terms of quality though. I had such a high hopes. What was all that dev time spent on? Wrangling the RE engine into a playable state? All anybody wanted was Dragon's Dogma but with some extra shit. How hard would that be to do? Why rebuild everything from the ground up?

I am still waiting for the inevitable Dark Arisen version before I decide if the game is truly shit or not, but I'm not feeling particularly generous, and having to wait two years plus for DLC is going to be way too long.

Who knows? Maybe we'll be lucky and get some freeLC in the time between now and the expansion. I'm not holding my breath though.

I have no idea how DD2 turned out like this.

The first Dragon's Dogma is janky, ugly, and very compact yet the sequel feels worse to play and is far more boring.

How did they accomplish that?

The real problem is every one played the PC Release that was Dragons Dogma + Dark Arisen. THAT was the base line and what every one meant when they said they "loved Dragons Dogma". So every one pretty much had a high power computer that could power through the jank/slow down so the issue were more "cute" then game breaking. The old bastards at Capcom didn't understand that and started with base Dragons Dogman instead of starting with Dark Arisen and going from there. Since its a Jap company we probably won't get any leaks/interviews on what the hell happened.

What are you all talking about? Dragon's Dogma 2 is revolutionary.

It is one of the very few recent gaming disasters that cannot be pinned almost entirely on niggers/DEI, but mostly on good ol' technical incompetence.
That's mostly true but I won't lie and say that one third of the npcs being black didn't take me out of the game somewhat.

There are even black elves and cat people which makes zero sense.

Its not even that, I played the base Dragons Dogma on my 360. Even with all the flaws of the base game it was still a great game if a bit lacking in content. This one feels worse than the base original game in almost everyway, even the end game which was just a high level boss rush was better than what they came up with for the 2nd game.

Some dude named Outridersmax is grinding the game to hit max level, which is 999. He's got 700hrs in a little over 3 months. That's fucking insane and I hope for this literal autists sake that he does some sort of streaming as a job because otherwise there's literally no way he could do this and have a normal job or life. At all.

This is madness. Even a lot of the reddit comments about this are kinda dunking on the dude for being a no life faggot and correctly calling it for what it is; an unhealthy escapism from something.

There is simply not enough content in the game to make that worthwhile by any stretch of the imagination. Not enough dungeons, not enough enemies, not enough build variety, no "true" endgame like everfall or BBI. Though I guess you could stock up on an ungodly amount of all-heals and never leave the unmoored world in order to have some form of challenge, but even then shit wasn't half as difficult as the everfall or BBI could get.

I just do not see how anyone could possibly enjoy DD2 enough to do this, and even the faggot in questions motive only seems to extend as far as "why not?". It's this kinda horse shit, imo, that enables game companies to put out mediocre products. After all, if this dude is willing to spend that much time with the game in such a short window then why bother trying to improve it? And the various "updates" we've had reflect this since none of them have been worthwhile and haven't fixed or improved the overall experience.

Edit: Correction, this dude has dumped 714 hours and is at level 900 in only 40 days. That's damn near 20 hours a day, every single day, for 40 days straight without break.
