I can’t understand why you’d think that, it’s a gorgeous little game with a great soundtrack and a memorable story. Unless there’s some tranny shit involved there that I’m unaware of, we’ll disagree.

The weird thing is even running with 4GB of VRam, I'm apparently getting better performance than many people. Granted I'm also a snob when it comes to some elements in my game that I think are relatively popular. No motion blur, no depth of field, no lens flares etc.
 
I ain't playing this shit because of the faggy youtuber pawns. Even if the game wasn't anti-consumer shit with no new game option, I still wouldn't touch it because I don't want to see asmongold or sue lightning in my vidya.

I don't think it was an official part of the system requirements, but the Last of Us PC port (a PS3 game, mind you) needed more than eight gig of VRAM or it would exhibit serious hitching issues.

Modern game development is a total clusterfuck more often than it's even "acceptable" and I continue to hope the entire rotten industry collapses.

It's because they contract all their coding to India.

A lot of people forget this but Poojeets aren't actually very smart. The average IQ in India is only around 85-87.

About 15 points lower than your average European/Asian.

Ok, so I played some more, wandering around like a retard and hanged around the first city more. Specs and settings I've already posted.
My FPS never dropped below 50 in the city and during battle, with 2 mages throwing colored shit it was constant 60.
I had one crash and by that I mean the game fucking froze and couldn't even close it. I had to restart my PC.
I don't find the game difficult at all, but I did wander in some nigger part of the map, with low levels and got my shit pushed in by an ogre. I got one shotted. That was my only death.
My pawn got hired plenty of times and I'm sitting at 600+ RC. I really like the entire pawn system. I've seen Donald Trump as a pawn several times lmao.
The official pawns, the ones with eceleb and trannies, I didn't see any in the wild or the rift. You have to intentionally select them in a menu. Don't quote me on this, just saying what I've noticed.
All in all, I'm having fun.
 
i got to the city. yeah, the game chugs like a motherfucker in there. hope they patch it. i also hate that random pawns will talk to you for some reason. annoying as fuck.

i also ran into a chimera and a Necromancer exploring some caves. both beat the shit out of me.

Usually crackers just bypass Denuvo, so you're not really removing the calculations that would cause any performance hit and when it's been removed by the publisher after a license expires, it's been an infinitesimal difference.

Not that Denuvo is a good thing, but too many people want to blame DRM for the performance of various games being terrible and it's just not the case. The games themselves are shittily made.

Hmm, figured it was something like that, but the cracking scene and the details behind it were always beyond my will to learn it. The games themselves are often times poorly optimized but there is concrete proof of DRM (at least Denuvo) causing issues (usually loading time, that will more often than not lead to stutter and fps problems) but I will admit it's usually not entirely Denuvo. Shame we can't see every game that has Denuvo have it removed to check the performance given how only one person (to my knowledge, could've been more but I do know one person was arrested because they forgot to turn on their VPN or something)has managed to truly remove DRM and it's a schizoid that has tries to goad their followers into "BDSM roleplay" and other degeneracy or else the next crack will be delayed/stopped. That mental degradation is the cost of being a terminally online coomer.
This video's a pretty good showcase that having a well optimized game is far more important than the shit Denuvo causes. However the video is 5 years old, given how much Denuvo has updated I'm not sure how much is outdated.
Newer video that's pretty good to for anyone who wants to know more about Denuvo.

If any kiwis are testing the game, tell us if the CPU/GPU you are using is AMD.

I have the feeling this may not be Denuvo but another one of those "intentionally kneecap AMD hardware so Nvidia can look better" scenarios. It would explain why some gamers report no significant performance issues.
 
This youtuber is probably my favourite RPG reviewer. He mentions the cashgrab and performance issues he got on a 4090, but he mostly focuses on the gameplay.
I might buy it if they do a Arkham Knight / Shadows of War purge of the DLC and online elements, but there's little chance of that.

As much as I love to hate Capcom I think Bandai Namco still has them beat on all the dog shit DLC available in their RPGs. This shit's been going on since they sold packs of potions for real money in Tales of Vesperia.

Or God forbid everyone's darling ATLUS. They sold a $120 edition of Persona 3 Reload on steam which doesn't even include The Answer expansion coming later in the year. Or how the only way to buy the PS4 port of the Persona 4 rhythm game was through buying the expensive collector's edition of the inferior Persona 5 rhythm game.
