The animation itself is pretty good, but I still say it is a waste of resources, effort, and time that could have been better spent at anything else. People easily could rewatch the Battle of Gods movie if they wanna see the animation being done well.

And even though the title is about the fan animation, the animation itself lasted for around 3-4 minutes. The rest of the video is Mark rambling about how great the animation he is putting out is, why the 5th episode made him feel like his dog got brutally bludgeoned to death, and why we need the remake so bad.

I decided to take a look back to dragon ball daima and I just realized what a massive pile of shit it was.

I'll be quick with taking the most nerdy part of my complain, which is the lore, and tl;dr: cannot stress enough how plain fucking retarded it was making a continuation of Z with its own separated canon AGAIN, after the fans finally started to settle on super.

New characters introduced where offensive in their own ways:
Offensive because they insufferable and unfunny (the villain), offensive because they were so bland you end up forgetting their very existence (that blue demon traveling with Goku), offensive because of how they got wasted and sidelined (the evil kaioshin), offensive because of their design (the robots) and offensive for all reason combined (neva).

Somehow, despite the series being about a dozen episodes, they managed to make filler, not even good/fun filler episodes if I wanna add, and the finale feels rushed too, how do you fuck up this hard?

We didn't wanted new transformations but knew there were gonna be some because its dragon ball and it gotta sell merch so (uugh)...
They are both there for the sake of crowd pleasing, but really they are barely explained ass-pulls that look absolutely stupid and, to put it as short as possible, everything ssj3 Vegeta does wrong, ssj4 goku quadruples down on it while managing to, somehow, make GT look better, not "nostalgic better", just straight up better.

To finish off, a mentally fucking retared dudebro once told me "it doesn't matter if the story is bad, what i want is cool flashy special effects and the epic fights between characters", to this day, I have no idea if he was genuine or ragebaiting, but its easily the most retarded take I've heard in my lifetime, and to this day I wonder of he would still say it after watching this pile of dross.

Going back to watch this genuinely makes me wish they never touch dragon ball ever again.

Huge trvke. What i watched of Daima was an absolute snoozefest. I couldn't even finish it. GT is unironically better.

Haven't watched Daima myself (found out a little after it finished that it isn't connected to Super and that they wasted SSJ4 Goku and SSJ3 Vegeta on it sorta put a bad taste in my mouth). But I did see some short from the series involving some gooner bait demon that everyone in the comments wanted to fuck and a witch who is 'ToTaLlY BuU's ReAl MaKeR!!!' that just made me nope out forever.

Only bright spot was everyone calling out the speds who liked the change to Buu's origin as they tried to their best to do the whole 'does it really change anything, you bigot?' BS I've had to endure from these faggots in the comments.

Speaking of speds I had a little chat with one at work about the remake shit coming out this month. Asked if I was excited. Told him 'fuck no' unless those cowards are going to have the balls to rewrite Superhero and somehow give folks Perfect Cell Max instead of giving Cell the Bio-Broly treatment. I told him I would have asked for RoF to get a rewrite too, but I've come to grips with the fact that RoF being so shit is what led to them bringing Frieza back and making him interesting again as a wildcard frenemy. He ended up agreeing with the Cell Max thing and also wants them to get past End of Z so we can have Goku training Uub in new adventures.

I have a feeling that last one is going to be some monkey paw shit.

Biggest questions I have now when it comes to Dragonball is honestly is where the fuck do they go once they get through the shit Toriyama had a hand in? I assume they will just go into whatever the hell the Oracle fish has been on about since the start of Super and be done unless Toyotaro is going to reveal himself to have been hiding his power level (blech) this whole time and come up with some neat characters and stories.

I think the anime is pretty decent and I'd suggest you to watch it, tho I'd try to avoid filler episodes (aside of the driving licence one).
Sub and dub have completely different soundtrack and on mulriple parts is just better the original (like the Roshi vs Goku fight).

I'm familiar with the old anime, I'm from latam :)
I mean if I should continue with the movies or super. I see a lot of complaining here and I wouldn't want to sour the happy memories I have.

Super is getting a remake so you could watch that when it comes out, otrherwise... I dunno, watch battle of gods, resurrectuon F, skip the first 2 arcs of the super, watch Broly and read the moro and granolah arcs

Toriyama really died proving that GT did Super Saiyan 4 better than he did. That entire series was a filler no one asked for but only got behind because it was sold by the shills as his "final gift". One thing they did was get Goku right (for the most part), but it was a colossal waste of time.....only surpassed by Dragon Ball Super: Beerus

The funniest thing about this is that when Geekdom talked about what the remake was gonna be about, he said this with a straight face that Shueisha knew he was gonna die and made him spend the last years of his life work on Dragon Ball projects.
