That was really good. Kinda felt like DBZ: Kill La Kill edition.

As soon as the energy sword came out I lost my autistic grin. Strong start, weak middle, good end.IDK the animation was really good and the voice acting was well done but it really started to go off the rails and turn into a generic 3rd world shitskin fanfiction halfway through. I might just be too into Dragon Ball's goofy charming comfiness though.
Are you talking about DBS: Superhero or Legends: A Dragon Ball Tale?If it has good animation and big booms I am happy

- Pardon the shilling, but Super Hero ticket preorders came out on Friday! Regal and AMC are offering dub or sub showings, so grab a seat if ya can!
- Producer Norihiro Hayashida says Toriyama's son played a role during the movie's production at a SDCC panel promotion!
And I will watch it subbed for Kamiya and Irino.Probs will watch it Subbed cuz fuck Funi
I follow this artist on pixiv.I've been thinking, is it possible that Super Hero is a response to all the backlash that super got over Piccolo's treatment during the two tournament arcs? I wonder about this because its been stated the movie entered development sometime in 2017, before Broly was nearing the end of its development. That would have been long enough after the first tournament for Toriyama and toei staff to see how vocal the angered fans were on social media, and if the planning started after December 2017 then that outrage would have been rekindled again when super's writers flat out forgot that the man has incredible hearing and stretch arms.
This is all just speculation on my part, but I remember a lot of people being pissed at super for devolving into the same boring rhythm each arc with Piccolo's fans being the loudest. I can't help but wonder if all that noise managed to reach Toriyama and give him the impetus to propose making the big beanstalk the star for once. A lot of people have noticed that Super Hero highlights his hearing, stretch arms, and intelligence in abundance--every trait fans complained were absent in super for seemingly no reason.

The way I see it, the DBS: Broly movie was a love-letter to the fans who felt that Dragon Ball Super had strayed too far from what DBZ offered. The combat in the film was pure cheesecake for the fans of the old DBZ storylines who wanted more serious battles with powerful foes. Meanwhile, DBS: Super Hero was more of a concession to the Gohan/Piccolo fans who felt that their characters got the literal shaft in the past few seasons of DBS where Gohan and Piccolo were relegated to side characters. They contributed somewhat during the Tournament of Power, but they were kicked off to the side during the Goku Black arc and were made into punching bags in the Resurrection F arc, which explains why the Gohan/Piccolo fans were not happy, and why TOEI decided to appeal to them with a movie where Gohan and Piccolo took center stage.I've been thinking, is it possible that Super Hero is a response to all the backlash that super got over Piccolo's treatment during the two tournament arcs? Since super started they've been focusing exclusively on Goku because that's what the series is known for, he is THE dragon ball man, everything else has been neglected in favor of more Goku time and now that people got kinda tired of Goku the number of sales started to drop really hard during the Moro saga. The way I see it, the DBS: Broly movie was a love-letter to the fans who felt that Dragon Ball Super had strayed too far from what DBZ offered.
