Thing is, there's an official Raditz lived storyline. It's a part of the What-If Saga in Budokai Tenkaichi 2. It's actually fairly well made too.

However, Masako has nearly no idea how writing side characters exactly work. He makes them borderline Gary-Stus, where they take over so much screentime that it feels like they almost became the main stars.

His Raditz story (which I read till around the Beerus Saga) basically cucks Vegeta around out of all his moments, Raditz is practically jammed in them instead of Vegeta. This is even more prevalent in the Nappa story where Vegeta is the equivalent of Yamcha, all the while when Nappa:

One thing I don't have a pic for, but at the time of Buu Saga, Tien & Chaotzu become Babidi's lackeys.

This was all just Nappa's What-If alone. The Raditz one is a mixed bag.

Now that's not a bad thing in it's own, however it only works when it's natural. Like, a character who you want to see more of cause you like it is natural (I feel this for Yamcha & Krillin), VS a character that gets an oversaturated amount of screentime, & that on top of story being biased to them.

The problem with a Raditz redemption arc is that it'd be very difficult due to him being so openly duplicitous & arrogant, begging for mercy & showing none when it's given to him. Piccolo Jr. was "evil" in that he wanted simple revenge against Goku but was himself not a two-faced opportunist, even showing up to a martial arts tournament for a fair fight with Goku.

You can make it happen but it would have to be fully driven by Raditz's self interest, the cost of which is Piccolo is no longer Gohan's mentor & Raditz gaslights Goku's death onto Piccolo (after Raditz has apparently killed him so Piccolo can't rebuff his half-truths (Piccolo has a fakeout death so Goku can come back)) as a form of manipulation to save his own skin from Vegeta & Nappa for losing them a chance at immortality with the Dragon Balls.

In the end, Piccolo's role in the story gets supplanted entirely by Raditz and Gohan has a semi-warranted hostility toward Piccolo, until Raditz dies in an impulsive self sacrifice (fully role swapping with Piccolo) and coughs up the full truth to Gohan, telling him he's a true Saiyan warrior & how proud he is of his nephew before croaking. Gohan has mixed feelings, having bonded with a gaslighting liar & misjudging the green man who only killed Goku incidentally in a botched attempt to defeat the genocidal invader he calls his uncle.

Agreed, which is why th BT2 story works. He's never redeemed, but explored as a character.

In MasakoX story, he just handed everything to him, changing the base story in ways. The BT2 story still keeps Piccolo relevant in the same way as the OG.

I don't know what it is with fanfic writers but for whatever reason whenever they do this alternate timeline approach they stay glued to the script as it was first written but with some insignificant alterations thrown in just because.

His point of diversion starts with Raditz dodging the Special Beam Cannon at the last minute, letting Goku get hit with it and running off. Vegeta & Nappa were listening in & basically kick him out of their group, but Nappa suggests they go to Earth anyway just because he's interested in fighting Piccolo. I can't tell if Masako is alluding to this Nappa being like TFS Nappa because that's a shit reason for them to come to Earth. "I bet that planet is worth a pretty penny" would've been less retarded. Not knowing about the Dragon Balls should be a major consequence to the plotline since there's no strong incentive to go to Earth anymore, but it's railroaded back to the main timeline because it just needs to happen to satisfy a forced payoff.

Then there's the scene where Piccolo jumps in front of Nappa's Break Cannon to save Gohan, but then Raditz jumps in front of Piccolo to rescue him, forming a self-sacrificial conga line where one character on a redemption arc one-ups another character on a redemption arc.

I pretty much just stopped watching after that.

I used to be a huge fan of Geekdom. He used to make pretty decent quality videos. There was of course a big decline in his content quality after the Broly movie came out, but for a few years he was still doing interesting series like DB Mythbusters and Technique Guides.

I guess he’s probably pretty burnt out from doing that kind of content, now he’s more focused on over-analyzing every bit of info we get for new DB games/the new movie.

I’m really looking forward for the new movie. It’s been really sad not having any good content lately.

I never much cared for Geekdom, I was only aware of him due to his online fights with Perfection and MBA. A while back I wanted to feature more of the actual youtubers in the db community being stupid but most of them are just boring nowadays. The last time I looked into Geekdom he caught shit for being somewhat creepy to some chick on Twitter.



He had a good bit of shit flung at him for making this comment. He deleted it and apologized, saying he was joking. Personally I think he should have told everyone to eat shit. Sure, it's a little creepy, but this is childs play when compared to other weebs listed on this website. This comes off as a more flirtatious tweet than being rapey.

I'm not watching this shit but SethTheProgrammer who was talked about quite a bit earlier in the thread just posted an almost 6 hour video about how powerful Goku is. I haven't been keeping up with him since the drama from back then, I barely even remember what it was about to be honest. But among his uploaded videos since then there are a couple of gems.

Again, I don't have the patience to watch them, but I'm a big fan of his rampant trend hopping. Like the videos about Squid Game, Star Wars and Batman/Spiderman coinciding fairly well when they all saw a surge in popularity. I haven't look through the comments on the Dragon Ball ranking video from a couple of weeks back yet, but that feels like it would be a breeding ground of some choice autism. Hopefully I'll have the time again soon enough to look into more of these tards.

I feel like this dude's got a cow inside him waiting to come out. Last I looked into him a few folks made a shitty google doc accusing him of being creepy towards a minor. It was hard to assess it, I think I posted it earlier in the thread. They posted many random discord screenshots, and I generally don't like relying on discord logs unless they're archived. Either way, he was smart enough not to give these people much of a reaction and not much came of it.

MasakoX isn't nearly as bad as the other ones you mentioned. At the very least, I cannot see this guy make videos like 'What if Goku was born with Moro Powers?' or 'What if Goku was born on Namek?' etc.
