Ironically, they created a lost golden age which we can only observe from the ruins of the current day with aching nostalgia.

Speaking of how once great franchises keep getting beshitted, there's a Mass Effect board game that just hit the shelves, and guess what:

I love how the text cutoff makes it look like she has "locked dicks" slots.

Does this mean broshep soldier is canon?

No, there are two cards for Shepard. Or it's double-sided, not sure. But either way you have your pick of femShep or broShep, though I can't imagine it makes any mechanical difference. Maybe there are romance bonuses? Tali and Garrus are both in the game, after all.

These are the people who accept futa asari as canon.
Why? Asari reproduction is autistically explained in the games, both in conversation and in textual background lore. They reproduce by forming a psychic connection with their partner, and then sequence the DNA of their baby based on what they feel from the psychic connection. It allows them to reproduce with any sentient species, but the result is always a 100% female Asari.

I know its a weird thing to bang on about, but it goes to show how facts vs feelings really has corrupted so much of the geek space, where anyone's fanfiction is heckin valid. All this stuff was fine 20 years ago when people were fantasizing on Live Journal and Geo Cities, but now those idiots have somehow ended up in charge of these major franchises and think they can do whatever the fuck they want with them.

I would say if they want their futa dong space babes that use She/They pronouns, they could just make their own new IP rather then corrupt an existing one. But after watching Jersh play Dustborne I have concluded these people don't have a creative bone in their body.

I have no idea if the pronouns shit came from the board game designer -- he did pitch an absolute shitfit over the one star reviews, which of course resulted in the one stars blowing up from 10 to over 50 once he got the Twitter attention he ordered -- or from BioWare themselves. I do think that if BioWare made the asari today, they wouldn't be a "monogendered all-female race" but definitely "non-binary," because the former is truly alien and impossible while the latter makes for much better representation ... of the sex weirdos who now comprise BioWare's fanbase.

It especially doesn't make any sense with Liara who never once at any point in the original series is referred to as 'they' and makes it a point to specifically state that her species are all female and refer to themselves as such.

God whatever the next Mass Effect is will be so fucking terrible.

makes it a point to specifically state that her species are all female and refer to themselves as such.
From what little I care to remember about Andromeda, there was a background conversation on the not-Citadel where an Asari was explaining the concept of "persons of gender" to one of the not-protheans. So they may've laid the groundwork for this back in that dumpster fire of a game.

That or the board game dev read into that and rolled with it, knowing no one at nu-Bioware would say its wrong, and in fact would support it.

Imagine giving a 90% discount price in all Dragon Age games in June of this year to every consumer ignore this excuse of a game.
Pretty ironic.

I've already modded the game to replace all the Amulets of Power they patched out, but how might one accomplish this feat?

First you need to have Cheat Engine installed. Then you need the script attached to this post. You'll want to load Cheat Engine and the script once you have loaded your save game. You'll want to enable the options: "Infinite Potions & Free Crafting [num2]" & "Infinite Shop Supply [num3]". Now you can go to any shop. For the Ring of Master Studies you'll want to have a ring that you can sell to the shop owner. At this point you'll want to enable the "Shop Item Editor" option in Cheat Engine. Sell the ring to the shop owner. Now you will want to go to the "Buy Back" tab and buy back the ring you sold to the merchant 3 times, one at a time. on the third time the multiple buy window should open, just buy 1.

After doing this you should see that the Item Type property that previously had a value of just three question marks in the "Shop Item Editor" now has an actual item name value. You'll want to close the shop's purchasing screen at this point. You'll want to enable the "Change" option under the "Shop Item Editor" and put the following ID in the box that pops up: DA3/Equipment/Items/Accessories/Rings/equip_acc_ring_dlc_msft

Make sure there are no spaces in front of DA3, and none after msft, it will cause the lookup operations to fail. If this is successful you should see a message that says a given value has been changed to another given value. After this you will want to open up the store again and you will notice that one of the 3 rings of the same kind you purchased that now reside in your inventory has a different resale value than the other two. You want to sell this one to the merchant. Go back to the "Buy Back" tab again and you will see the Ring of Master Studies now listed in the buy back list. You will want to purchase that ring 3 times, one at a time.. The reason for this is that the first one will always be a damaged copy. The second one might be the correct one, or it might be trash. But, the third copy will actually be the correct item with the correct values and description. You can sell the other two retarded copies back to the shop owner since all they will do is junk up your inventory.

That's it. Congrats, you now have a copy of an item that should be xbox exclusive on your PC copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Exit the shop screen and deactivate the "Shop Item Editor" option in Cheat Engine, and you are good to go.

You would follow the exact same procedure with an amulet for the Amulet of Master Studies, using the following value for the Change window: DA3/Equipment/Items/Accessories/Amulets/equip_acc_amulet_dlc_ability_point_msft

This method should work for any given item you want to substitute in as long as the base item you are using for the trick is the same. For example, if you want a ring, you have to start with a ring, etc...

Have fun.

So how pussified is Veilguard? How soft, how lacking in edge, how determinedly inoffensive and bland?

It'll be the first Dragon Age with no spiders, so as not to trigger arachnophobes.

I loathe spiders, and have a rational, rather than an irrational hatred of them (I'd explain, but its a severe power level to do so). I find pounding them into a fine mush in video games to be very cathartic. This is very disappointing.

But where is my trannyphobia mode?

I completely agree. Why aren't my triggers being respected? I find the option of "top scars" to be very triggering. Bigots!

But where is my trannyphobia mode?
The game was most likely finished its "writing" during peak game dev virtue signaling. From what it looks like in the gameplay footage we have, EA probably gave them a little bit of money to finish this product off as a solo experience following Anthem's massive flop. We'll get the transphobia modes when EA realizes the pendulum swung, and no one wants to buy these games, Veilguard will probably be the last hurrah in a dying game dev push.

I already don't see anyone talking about this game anymore, lmfao
Imagine spending your Halloween playing this piece of shit instead of going out to a party or at least playing a much better spooky game

Fantasy nerds, like the ones who made Dragon Age, absolutely did give a shit about ASOIAF. It was specifically cited as an influence by the devs. They even use the honorific "Ser" as a shout-out to it.
Bioware put in a reference to the Red Wedding in Star Wars KOTOR back in 2003, so clearly some writers at the studio were familiar with ASOIAF.
