I have two novels with the agents right now. One they’re currently working on selling, and one they’re currently reading to see if it has potential, and if so, what I can do to get it ready to be something they can sell.

This is not a big deal — and okay, that’s obviously a lie, but I’m leaving it, because if I have to deal with my own thought processes trying to wave their hands desperately to try not to spook anyone, then the rest of you can come along for the ride — but the main character of each of those books is a non-binary person. (Also, happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!)

In both cases, I made the choice to have the main character be non-binary because I wanted to see more non-binary representation in novels, and not just novels about non-binary people agonizing over their stuff. I wanted comedies with goofy non-binary people, and adventures with swashbuckling non-binary people, and romances with sexy non-binary people, because not every book needs to be the Very Special Episode where the conflict revolves around the protagonist being non-binary.
God he's headbuttable

The problem is Dragon Age’s fanbase actually likes the cartoonish style and the woke stuff. (Or at least the most vocal segment that BioWare writers make sure not to offend on Twitter do).
I like cartoony, or stylized at least, art styles. I hate the current trend of trying to push the realistic graphics shit into a lot of games that just make them all look bland and samey, but this aesthetic looks straight out of an entirely different series.

I bet he had to become a they/them (yes, those are his pronouns) to keep his job.

If you're willing to renounce your natural self just to keep your job at a shitty video game company, you might as well do it, because you're certainly not using your balls.

Weekes was apparently the guy who wrote the Miranda and Mordin stuff in ME:2, and did a lot of other character sidequest stuff that made the game so popular despite the silly main story of Reaper Baby. So it's a real shame to see how retarded he's gotten in looking for someone to suck his nerd dick. Instead of a decent Bond Girl hook with romance and the morality of keeping the alien pitbull population in check, he's become a "non-binary people need to take over the world in their stocky jeans and shaved heads and framed glasses."

I can already tell the team cast by other, superior Bioware games.

Harding = Aveline/Cora
Neve = Tali & maybe Liara
Lucanis = Thane
Bellara = Merrill+Kasumi
Emmrich = Samara
Davrin = Jacob Taylor
Taash = the Wrex/Grunt/Kesh meme character

So, what’s the over under on this finally being the game to put Bioware out of our misery? The “BioWare Magic” is dead and gone, and knowing the budgets modern vidya has, is this disjointed mess finally going to be what makes EA take this studio behind the wood shed? Cause if nu-Ware survives a third Bomb, I’m taking it as confirmation that someone is using Bioware to launder money.

As much as I like Bad Vidya - sometimes they can be so bad the loop back to being amusing - the reveal just makes me think this isn’t even worth pirating.

It honestly looks like the game went through two or three development periods, then was scrapped and revamped.

At the very least, I hope we get a letter from our inquisitors. (Will it even carry over from the keep?)

This RPG Codex autist nailed it.

Wow, this is...this is so fucked. The art style, the presentation, the characters....it looks so fucking bad. It looks like it belongs to a mobile game. What in the almighty fuck?

We've come a long way down from Dragon Age: Origins.

Rest in piss, BioWare.
I'm so fucking sick of Varric. We get it, you struck gold with a character, please come up with something original now.
I don't mind Varric, but why is he the only person holding any interest in this story up? Harding was from Inquisition also.

Apparently Varric isn't a companion so I guess he just makes snarky comments back at the Ebon Hawk/Normandy/Skyhold/etc.
And..my last comment is irrelevant now because you don't even have him as a companion.

What the fuck are those characters they look like they belong on a cellphone game. Just why the fuck the mongos at Bioware didn't build from origins and have spent the last 15 years or something just trowing shit into a wall to see what sticks

That's what you get when you hire a troon as the game director.

Honestly, the rot at BioWare goes so deep and so far back; the sheer incompetence, lack of direction, and rotating staff we'd already seen with DA4, that by the time they put a troon in charge it was just one more symptom rather than a cause. I remember thinking at the time, "Well, why not, there's probably no salvaging this thing anyway, let them score some good boy ... er, good nongendered person points by throwing a troon a bone before taking this studio out back and shooting it."

My expectations were as low as they possibly could be but holy shit this was even worse than I thought.
I know right? I expected disaster and I'm still surprised.

EDIT: Hold up, isn't necromancy like a big fucking no-no? Like one of the biggest fucking no-nos out there? As in "every single mage with an IQ above room temperature is going to help the Templars put you down" levels of big fucking no-no? Why the fuck is one of those in the party? I'm pretty sure necromancy involves summoning demons from the Fade to inhabit those bodies as part of the reanimation process, so... Andraste Fucking Maker...

Unless they're from Nevara with their Mortalitasi. Necromancer summon small spirits/wisps and bind them to objects I think, demons are way too much trouble.

I think that fade jumping is a bigger fucking issue and way more lore breaking than the Dalish abandoning mage children in the wild

I hated Inquisition but it at least wore the skin of Dark Fantasy. And it had Cole, who's probably my favorite character in the series despite coming from what was previously the worst game in it.
This just looks insulting.
