I don't think Karlyn knows that she looks bad. I think that those AI pictures she has been posting is how she really sees herself. As for the hair, I think it's just the attempt to be "edgy" and she doesn't realize that it's just a hackneyed haircut. I have come to the conclusion that her delusion is so complete that she truly believes that she is the most intelligent, attractive person and she cannot understand how everyone is not in awe of her and falling at her feet. She sees herself and the world through her lens and her lens is very distorted. She doesn't see what we see.
Good Karlyn/Bad Karlyn
She gains followers by occasionally doing things that are good. She loves to "scoop" and "uncover". She's still cruising on "I broke the Coke be less white story". Last night she did get another scoop. If you look, though, it's not that she herself got the scoop. She has someone in her following that clearly is a teacher who gets access to online web seminars and who got access to one done by a nonbinary person about teaching sex ed to autists. The person tried to protect the stream, but if it's one of Karlyn's anonymous followers and not Karlyn who is accessing the stream, you can't weed them out or stop them short of canceling your training. Karlyn livestreaming it and informing people is "Good Karlyn".
Let's immediately discard the notion that Karlyn is doing this to protect autistic kids. Karlyn has talked about many of her followers having autism and how much she loves them. But she also tried to blame Kieran's asperger syndrome when he rebuffed her advances and demanded boundaries. We've seen those message exchanges. When he said he was averse to touching, she implied that she would be unable to refrain from touching him if she got drunk. When she came on to him and he distanced himself, she got increasingly offensive in her messages to him. Finally, she claimed maybe his aspergers was making him not understand the situation. In fact, it was probably his aspergers that prevented him from recognizing the warning signs that she'd been sending him. She doesn't care about autistic people except that perhaps they are more vulnerable to her manipulation, so that makes them good targets for followers.
Exposing this person doing the webinar about sex ed for autistic kids was good.
However, being Karlyn she takes it all further.
Dylan is interchangeable with thousands of others at this point. Karlyn, lacking any empathy, cannot recognize that Dylan doesn't believe they are doing anything wrong. They churned right out of a bunch of liberal colleges and they think they are putting their degree to use. Karlyn tweeting these emails insisting that Dylan is scared or upset that she had a spy in the webinar. Dylan must be concerned that others who paid (as Karlyn did) to attend the webinar might be concerned that she has this big "scoop" and she is blasting it out everywhere. Yes, she has made Dylan a target. You can debate whether or not the autistic enby deserves to be made a target, but understand that she is now personalizing her scoop and delighting in making Dylan scared. Because that's what gets her off. How much is she doing it?
She's even atting Elon Musk about her "scoop."
Since she was unable to hoover Ali Alexander, she used one of her followers to do it.

If anyone brings up her obvious joy over targeting the autistic sex ed enby, she will accuse them of "supporting pervs grooming autistic kids". It's important to remember that, personally, Karlyn believes that everything is subjective, there is no good or evil and most importantly that "grooming children for sex" is speech protected by the first amendment. She doesn't do this because of her beliefs. She has none. She's doing this because she wants attention for a "scoop" and to try to make the autistic enby afraid of her.
