Harrop is again disingenuously deflecting the genuine concern of his critic. Doyle-Price is not talking about "facts", but
obligations. It is true that doctors do not require parental consent before prescribing contraceptives to minors, regardless of their age, but if someone as young as 12 requests the pill, a conscientious doctor will get the parents involved. Harrop is obviously not a conscientious doctor, or rather, his conscience lies on the side of pedophiles.

Harrop argues by false equivalence how the birth cert of a child should list a woman as the "father":
This freakish creature did bear and give birth to the child, hence she is the child's biological mother, not "father". I can't see how Harrop's invoking adopted children helps his case: the birth cert of an adopted child still records one piece of biological reality: that the child is born of a
woman whose name is listed under "mother", and no one in the right mind will ask the woman, "Would you like to be recorded as the father or mother of the baby?". And if Harrop really believed in what he says ("a birth certificate only needs to record that a human being was born, on a specific date, & in a specific location, as well as the adult human(s) who are going to take parental responsibility for them"), then it shouldn't matter whether the "adult human(s)" are listed under "mother" or "father". Harrop has to concede that McConnell's fight for her supposed "fatherhood" is pointless.
