For reasons best known to themselves the RCGP magazine Pulse was fulsome with praise for him, running a puff article which described him as a “GP Registrar” even though he was still a trainee GP.

The Pulse article was dated 8 October 2018 but by 12 October 2018 the DAUK was advertising for a new media officer. Perhaps they had belatedly Googled him and found his less than cheerful twitter persona.

Incidentally the DAUK lost no time in letting hubris obscure facts and upsetting other doctors, specifically Rachel Clarke, a doctor with 94k Twitter followers and two best selling books was less than happy to be added to their Facebook while they claimed to be representing 30K doctors. To date they have just 4,881 followers on twitter.
As to his career as a GP, I think the GMC are relaxed in the knowledge that he is less than likely to get a great reference from his training practice. Locum work or Troon specialist are his only options.
