My nomenclature for them is "Fancy Tuxedos"

I have two polydactyl cats of the thumb type. I will post thumbs soon since I know its against the rules to mention the kitty without posting a pic of them.
lol really my cat just has big Dewclaws. Not a polydactyl...maybe pterodactyl...esque...in facial features...(tiny, pointy beak)...

A grizzled old tomcat has been showing up and hanging out around my house for the last few months, I don't know if he was abandoned or is a stray who has had good experiences with people but he's pretty chill and friendly. Crucially, my own cat doesn't descend into an autistic, screeching meltdown at the mere sight of him like he does with every other cat so I tried to take him in, unfortunately as soon as I let him inside he started pissing everywhere in what I assume is an attempt to mark my house as his territory so I don't think I'm gonna be able to turn him into a house cat. Still, I'm going to keep feeding him and I'm also currently in the process of building him some shelter in my backyard so he has somewhere to sleep comfortably, he also seems to get along pretty well with my dog (unlike my cat who just fucking loves bullying her) which is nice.

Not going to dox him but he looks very similar to this:

Update on the old tomcat: On my vet and @Richard Cheese's advice I got him neutered, unfortunately he still sprays.

Okay, so I know I posted this turd before (Buddy, Blackie, Niggerman); but I have cat questions.

I've never owned a cat before. I've always been a dog person, but since moving to an apartment in a densely populated city (and since I'm not a sociopath) I never got a pet. But this mother fucker decided to jump into my window one day and hasn't left. I read all the online stuff about how much this nigger should eat per her poundage, and she seems relatively happy (I leave the window open and she always comes back, and has been since Halloween of last year), but other than going to the vet, are there ways to make sure that this blacko is getting the food and care that she needs? She isn't shedding, she makes regular turds, ect.

I just wanna make sure that this clawed-goblin-ape isn't just withering away in my possesion..

She looks fine for now, like she knows where to eat and at what time. If you want to entice her away from the other family or whatnot, giving her canned cat food at sufficient times (breakfast, dinner) would help. If she's not picky, she'll eat anything you'll get her, just don't be surprised if she does turn her nose up at a bowl of salmon or turkey cat food because it's just not what she likes.

You can also see if she wants you to brush her, so you can get a cat brush for her to do a face-test with or some cat toys for her to play with. Cats can entertain themselves just fine otherwise, you'll find out pretty soon if you haven't already what to spoil her with.

You're reply was nice :3
She never turns her nose up at food (although she tries to lick all the gravy first). She's letting me brush her with an actual cat brush and she's spending more and more time living at my place rather than being a moving target for car tires or eagles and hawks (which there surprisingly are a lot right meow). [Edit: oh and when she goes out at night, at least once a week she'll bring a dead mouse (sometimes half alive) and drop it under my desk].

I'm just trying to get all the information I can before I close the window for good and get her chipped and what not. She sleeps on my bed every night and plays quite regularly. I just don't want to restrict this goblin her freedom before I move and drag her 20-40 miles away from her hunting grounds.

Oh, so she picked you as her favorite hooman, then. I still assume she has another family in the area unless she was abandoned shortly before meeting you. Have you snooped around a bit to get a good idea of her territory and where she might be going to?

You can see pictures of him earlier in this thread, but I suspect my cat, Branson, has another small mast cell tumor like the one that was removed from his face three years ago. He has had a tiny, hard growth in the skin below his right ear that I thought was just a projection of his ear cartilage, but it turns out it is a small growth in the skin as it moves with the skin in the area. Lately, he has been really scratching at it and touching it seems to be painful for him, and it has increased in size.

He goes to the vet on Thursday morning, and I am not that worried about it as the mast cell tumor that was taken off his face was benign and never came back, but this might set me back quite a bit, financially.

Lazy cet and graph paper. Recently having a vacation for 2 days and when I came back, Tora just welcomed me and demand some nice butt scritches on the stairs.

So, the veterinarian did not bother aspirating the tumor as she was hesitant to do so because it is in an area with a lot of nerves and blood vessels. Instead, she wants to just take off the entire growth and have it analyzed that way. It is confined to the skin so it should be relatively easy to remove, and it does not matter what the growth is at this point as it is in a very bad place, so it will have to removed no matter what it is at this point, and the fact that it has increased in size in the past two months is a cause for concern.

The downside is that they will not be able to surgically remove it until June 4th as they are pretty booked.

Fingers crossed Branson is going to be alright and will make a full recovery. :heart-full:

I fucking love calicoes, they are the best colour aside from tuxes and white, especially coming from a calico shorthair owner.

I hope your critter would get the surgery she desperately needed, and I wish good luck to you and your kitty.

Feline instincts are feline instincts, after all, they just love to hunt rats. My calico occasionally hunts baby rats during the night as well, and she tend to play and mess around with it, and show how good of a sewer rat slayer she was, along with being a cockroach slayer. Glad to see the niggercat doing well, she is getting used to indoor life pretty nicely.

Chipping your cat is crucial, as to make sure the feline is all good, if I remember vaguely. Tora loves to sleep randomly, especially surprising me when she slept on my poodle's cushion, and loves getting into zoomies mode, since she is extremely playful and also a gluttonous beast. She chirps to birbs as well.

Branson should be fine as he is a healthy boy and the growth itself has not been causing problems until it started growing in size and getting itchy for him to scratch at. From what the veterinarian said, removal of the growth itself should be simple as it seems to be restricted to the skin.

The main reason why I am having it removed is a preventative measure before it has a chance to cause trouble by getting larger and it will be easier to have a histopathological analysis on it when it is off the cat rather than trying to biopsy it, hitting a nerve or an important artery, only to find out that it has to be removed eventually, anyway.

The trouble is that my veterinarian is tied up in terms of her surgical schedule for a month out, so I just have to wait until June 4th.
