Sorry for your loss. I'm glad you gave him a place to be comfy after what looks to be a hard lot before you.View attachment 5820044
I’m normally hesitant to powerlevel on here for the sake of Internet hygiene, but I don’t care with this post. This was my cat and best friend. He passed away about 24 hours ago from an extremely aggressive cancer. I only had him for about two and half years, but he changed my life and my person for the better in so many ways. I was a very jaded and bitter person when I first met him, but his calm and kind personality and how much he loved every person he met helped me change my attitude towards life and made me a much happier person. There is so much more I could say, but for now I just wanted to memorialize him here, as this is the only Internet “community” I’m really a part of.
Until I see you again buddy, I love you. Thank you for everything.
Damn man, this really got to me.View attachment 5820044

I know how you feel. I was hesitant to post my boys in this thread for a while. I've had them for so long that people from back in the day could easily recognize them. But when Spaz died a couple weeks ago, I said fuck it. I don't have any social media, so I also get what you mean about this being your only online "community."View attachment 5820044

I know what you mean. May you find comfort in his memory, he looks like a very special cat.as this is the only Internet “community” I’m really a part of.
There’s cold cuts and smoked Gouda to make sandwiches if you want, and Buckley likes having his sides scratched. Shoes off inside the house and lock up when you leave, please and thank you.Collecting all meta data of the pictures posted here and will break into your house, pet your cat, maybe take some food from your fridge and leave.

I’m sorry you lost your friend, but I am glad you got to spend the time you did with him. You changed his life for the better, just as he did for you. It’s never easy having to say goodbye to a pet. I hope you’re holding up ok.
You are a proper decent person and gave that old chap a loving home for his final years. Always remember that cats don't worry about death like we do but live in the moment. You gave him a home, companionship and took care of him which are a series of good moments. Happy trails to the little guy and much love to you in your time or mourning.

Cats are wonderful, and they make our lives better. They can even make us better, and I don't care how gay that sounds. Because I still miss my little Spazcat.
Thank you all for your kind words. He truly meant the world to me, and he touched a lot of people in meaningful ways while I had him. He had a gift for making a positive impact on all of those he met. I know he’s still with me in a way and that one day we’ll meet again, but it’s still tough. Cats are truly very special creatures.I know what you mean. May you find comfort in his memory, he looks like a very special cat.
When you are ready, he'll guide you to another companion. They inevitably do.
Can you get him neutered? He'll stop pissing on things once the testosterone is out of his system. Feliway can help curb that behavior too.unfortunately as soon as I let him inside he started pissing everywhere in what I assume is an attempt to mark my house as his territory so I don't think I'm gonna be able to turn him into a house cat.
Yeah I was actually told something similar recently and I've been planning on taking him to the vet anyway (as soon as I can get him inside the carrier that is, don't know if he trusts me enough yet). I'll look into Feliway too, thanks. Can you get him neutered? He'll stop pissing on things once the testosterone is out of his system. Feliway can help curb that behavior too.
