I believe he's referring to the Himalayan cat breed. Himalayans are a sub-breed of Persian cats.Sorry, I tried looking it up but couldn’t find a definition that made sense. What is a himmy in this context?

Yes.
Oh! Right. No. She’s a ragdoll.
My three babies. Alfie is the big grey, gus is the maincoon. I adopted them as kitten "brothers" 2 years ago. The black white is estimated 8 months she was a stray in my neighborhood and I brought her in 3 weeks ago. Shes sweet to humans but hisses and growls at my two boys. Shes getting fixed in december hopefully she mellows out a bit.
Alfie is yawning not growling in the first pictureView attachment 5465114View attachment 5465117
Pretty kitty, strays always hit me in the feels and I wanna save all of them but im afraid of becoming a cat hoarder and I think having outside cats would be too worrying for me. I have 3 and I think 4 is my personal limit for the moment. There's a neighborhood stray I've been putting food out for. I seriously wonder if she wasn't someone's cat once. Sucks the building is no pets

The last 2 we had before I moved away, Grace and Frank, passed away one after the other over the past year (Frank is the big fatty)Pretty kitty, strays always hit me in the feels and I wanna save all of them but im afraid of becoming a cat hoarder and I think having outside cats would be too worrying for me. Any suggestions on good brands for catios?I have a catio, the cats have decided that it is it's own independent kingdom and have essentially seceded from the motherland, except when they need love or food.
A family friend took over management of a colony of cats when the lady that took care of them passed away of old age. He basically converted his garage, which he never really used for anything except storage, into a stray cat residence. The cats use it to stay out of the elements and stay warm in the winter. He provides them with food, anti-flea/tick treatment, and bring them to the vet if any of them are inured or significantly ill. He is using a compassionate TNRR (Trap, Neuter, Release, & Rehome any kittens that show up) to slowly reduce the colony over time, and is having quite a bit of success. My classic tabby boy is one of the rehomed kittens, as is his fraternal twin brother who went to my mother. So, it is possible to take care of strays, but it requires a lot of dedication, resources, and absolute adherence to the principle of TNRR.

I found this Youtube for Japanese cat Minuet named Uni. Hes so adorable the way the black and white meet at his head remind me of south park canadians animation style. If I ever purchase instead of adopt Im definitely getting a wiener cat

No worries about the pics, that sounds amazing. I just bought my first house a few months ago and I have a back sunroom/porch thats not being used, as well as a large garage and a smaller shed that could be used for cat spaces, but I am functionally retarded when it comes to construction/maintenance/basic tools. and im basically self teaching myself from scratch so itll probably be a while before Im confident enough to take on larger scale projects like that.My catio is essentially a one-off. It was a 3 season's porch, but I modded the HVAC that was just behind the wall so it became a 4 seasons porch, and then I had the windows modded so the structure is essentially 80% window, floor to ceiling, with removable screens on the outside. On the inside I installed moveable, removable, louvered glass slats. In the spring and summer I just remove the glass slats so the it is as open as possible. In the fall I re-install the slats so the wind coming in is limited as its gets colder, and then in the winter I close the slats completely with a gasket and they seal against the cold. I replace the screens on the outside with storm windows and it creates a well insulated dead-air gap double pane window. The HVAC keeps it a reasonable temperature throughout the year when it is too hot or too cold otherwise. Normally access to the 3 season's porch was a sliding glass door (which is a good indicator that the 3 season's porch was a late add-on in more recent decades) but I modded it so that it has a cat-door that easily lets the cats come and go as they please without compromising the environment of the house. It's quite sizable, probably about 200 square feet. It is decorated with several cat poles and other sitting spaces, cat beds, water, litter boxes, dry food feeders, etc... They probably spend about 70-80% of their time out there in the summer/spring/fall for the sunlight, and about 50% of the time in the winter. The cats really are horribly spoiled, but I want them to be happy when I am not present.
I'd put up pics, but it would be quite doxing since it is a rather unique setup.
