My old lady Claudia! She lost one of her canines recently, I don't know when. She seems to be eating fine though, I just get worried when my old cats start to have Old Cat Problems. (:_(

Her brother is a healthy boi despite some thyroid issues. He's been on meds for a while and as gained some squish while also supplementing his diet with shredded cheese dropped on the floor.
(He's mad I woke him up)

I'm glad that I live in a rural area where the most present fear for the wellbeing of my cats is them being nabbed by coyotes or hawks instead of motorized hamplanets.
Where I live still has ranches and the occasional coyote despite the massive growth these last several years. Nowhere is safe from the hamplanets.

Though I've noticed there's a lot of missing cats posters out here, and a good number of them are of black-and-white cats. So the lady was either the previous owner, or some person or two is going around snatching up cats, either of a particular color scheme or just coincidence. Not sure if that's better than cats getting poisoned or not.

I overclipped my poor kitty's nails, and now he's bleeding (Leo). Not severely, but I felt really really bad, especially because both of them are so calm and cooperative during the process. There's definitely a little blood but he seems OK, doesn't appear to be in pain. Like I said, not severe at all but I still feel awful about it. He didn't even freak out, just hissed a little bit. I'm really surprised at how well he took it.

Next time you clip their nails you should keep corn starch or flour on hand. You can use it to stop the bleeding by dipping the injured claw into it. Just make sure you give their paw a wash when you are confident the bleeding has stopped. :)

Egg needs to sit her ass in front of my computer monitor. I'm a programmer by trade, so this is the best place for her to critique my work throughout the day.

Also yes I know my desktop wallpaper is super cyyyyyb3rrrpunk.

Tora sucking that plush like drinking milk. And she is really affectionate when she is not having the icks of biting, especially when she brushes her head against my knuckles.

Introducing Madam. She spent her first life as a champion pedigree with some breeders who won several championships with her. They begun to realise that although she was a winner, and a grand champion in her pedigree breeding circuits….she HATED being shown. And hated going to the shows. She was also not fitting in with the rest of their breeding population (a reasonably small family consisting of a couple of matings with studs a year).

She was now a grandmother, and the rest of the cats were starting to leave her out and see her as a bit of an unwanted presence.

The lovely breeders knew that the best thing for her would be to give her away, and even though they’d miss her, she would be better off away from shows. Away from younger cats and away from the group.

She enjoys having one person to herself. She’s an affectionate and playful cat, despite being a grandma, and has me wrapped around her little finger.

I would usually adopt and not buy from a breeder, but this was a very different circumstance and I’m so glad the breeders did what was best for her (because she was a champion and she could have kept winning at the shows…..but they saw she hated it). She fell on her paws with me, who works from home and can spend most of my time with her. She enjoys company.
