I think I was trying to find some kind of music VST he commented on or his music channel got recommended to me (he has a few channels I guess).
Sadly, at this rate I'd take one of his maps over any of the nu-crop of "mappers" that will probably score an undeserved Caco-ward this year.

I just read the whole thing, and i'm not even surprised. Some opinions have been shared before, here and on Doomer Boards that Doomkid is keeping a lot to himself and his real persona is more like what we see on his youtube videos. I always liked his youtube content, and just by watching it, and learning what he's all about, i was pretty damn sure that can't be entirely happy, or agreeing with the current state of the community. I thought him dropping from the moderation staff was a publicity stunt at first, but now i'm starting to think that he doesn't want anything to do with them or the way they run things, and because he's powerless to change the direction of where DW is heading.

I'll start with the positives, but there are also a few negatives that i'll list below:

+ this whole rant is more or less what we've been saying here, on Doomer boards or anywhere else that isn't Doomworld. Remove the jokes, the insults, sarcasm and tone, and you get the same criticism on the state of map making and critique we've been talking about for the past 2-3 years (maybe more, but i'm talking about the stuff i've witnessed). And i'm sure he's aware of these critiques and have read all of it, if not here, then definitely on Doomer Boards. I'll get back to that when i list the negatives.

+ He thinks of going back to making content on youtube and vanilla map making. Good, this is the Doomkid everyone likes to see.

+ My favorite part of the rant is how he takes a genuine shot at the constipated, overly-pretentious, pompose mapping trends and essays of today. He'll never admit this, but this is confirmation that he dislikes what the mapping scene has become. It's an indirect shot at the most Cacoward winners from the last decade, at the Sunlust copycats, the slaughter shit, the artsy abominations and at the way some "six girls that yap about Doom wads" are talking about maps like they are the second coming of Jesus. Again, he's never going to admit it, but the writing is on the wall. Here's the quote:

I really could be imagining this, but for a growing percentage of mappers, it seems like Doom is no longer about fun - it's about something really serious and not-happiness-inducing that I can't quantify but that I wouldn't describe as desirable from the perspective of a player. Now onto the negatives:

- starts the rant with a disclaimer that "he could be wrong, and his opinion might have been skewed". He proceeds to say stupid shit like "i could be wrong, or i could be imagining things", "Maybe i just don't understand the cultural shift" bla, bla, bla... He's perfectly aware that he's not wrong, but says these things, because he's afraid he might insult his fragile buddies... or his he's just distancing himself from the DW critics (more on that below).

- Doesn't blame anything on the moderators, when they are absolutely, 100% the people to blame, and he fucking knows it!

- Instead of coming back to the forum, he's going to run off to Discord. He's given up on trying to make a change. And maybe he's right, maybe it's too late for him as well. Would've been interesting to see him opposing the current state of things, but then again, he's too afraid to publicly put the blame on the people who deserve it, so guess it's better if he just stays away and makes fun content.

- I think he hides a lot more to himself. I think if he lets it all out, it will look like he agrees with even more stuff that we're saying, and he probably wants to distance himself from it. Which is why he kept saying "my opinion might've been skewed" and more...

This is why I'm not on board that Doomkid's completely changed despite making that long post. He's still scared of being cancelled by the fuckwits running and posting on Troonworld. Just tell it as is, it's just going to show how ugly Troonworld has become and its basement-dwelling freaks going after people who are telling the truth about them are just adding fuel to the fire.

This might be the first time I see actual psychedelic druggies and it's rather horrifying. It's like I'm watching brainless idiots. No cohesive, rational thoughts are flowing through that brain. If I was ever considering drugs, this would definitely scare the fuck out of me from ever trying them.

Former heavy drug user. This is exactly what it's like. I think of all the time, energy, money, and brain cells that I wasted in a retarded stupor that could have been used to contribute something useful to the world. Even doing nothing is a net positive over what you see here.

Wild how he can't see that the exact thing he's in support of (banning "sexism/racism/bigotry") is the exact causative action that led to this. You wanna make it so you can't call somebody a nigger because your advertisers will drop you? I mean alright I guess, but that's not what they did. Banning "bigotry" is just the same thing as banning hurt feelings, and every forum that goes down this path inevitably becomes a retarded insular hugbox of the most sensitive asylum-escapees because they're the ones who bitch to (and eventually become) the moderators at the highest frequency due to a combination of free time and mental derangement. This pattern has repeated so many times that I don't even need to list examples besides just Doomworld, anybody who's honest with themselves can think of a few off the top of their head.

People like Doomkid are fundamentally too stupid to understand the consequences of their actions, should never be in positions of power, and should not be taken seriously on serious topics. Nearly every social problem today can be traced back to people exactly like him ruining an organization or an institution with the best of intentions and zero self-doubt because in their minds they have absolute moral and intellectual correctness.

There hasn't been a 'community' since they took power (10 or more years ago). Trannies are only interested in new victims. So they infest real communities, either for very popular games (for mass corruption) or for niche games with autistic/lonely fanbases (for easy manipulation).

They don't actually enjoy any of these games. Their existence is entirely based around infecting others with their mutilation cult fetish.

Jesus, what a fucking train wreck. Posts a single level wad, gets 'not what I wanted' feedback, bitches about people discussing the wad, goes nuclear and has the mods delete everything. THEN, even after all the bitching and whining mods open the thread backup so people have some context to the shitshow that is the dogpiling thread.
