SpeedKicks, a famous player in Tekken tweeted this out. But someone explain the time discrepancy to me please. The tweet by SpeedKicks is dated the day before the Tekken tweet. But on an archived tweet by some random user,

They too have it dated on September 29. So is it time zone difference? I'm too stupid to understand.

Also, there was apparently another tweet right after "I'm gay lol".

It's real easy to fake twatter shite. But I think Dominique is too much of an attention whore to pass up an opportunity to tweet those things out on the official twitter account.

Does it matter? Seems like a harmless shitpost that's just in line with Sonic's regular tired shtick, that's all the connection there is. I can't even tell if that's real because there is no archive and way more people would have witnessed it, making own unique screencaps or replies to original tweet, even if it lasted under a minute.

Kinda off topic, but I'm surprised there isn't a thread dedicated to the FGC. While I'm not as into it as I once was, the FGC is a huge lolcow farm, with a ton of drama, scumbaggery, faggotry, trannyism, and everything in between.


I'd make a post to proving grounds, but I really don't have the writing prowess to make for a good OP.

Actually that's a bit of an issue itself. There so many events, issues, people, games and such that it honestly could use its own general post. Look at how much you guys are getting from a single player. Things like:


EVO had its own #metoo event, where some players and some staff got accused of sexual assault (one of them, Floe, is confined to a power scooter lmao)

Infiltration, a Korea player, had a shitty home life and had the police called on him in a domestic dispute, which caused a bunch of white knights in America to call him an abuser, which led to him basically being ostracized by the community for a while. He came back to EVO this year and a lot of people were not happy about it. A lot of the rhetoric thrown around would be pretty familiar to people following the Vic mignogna drama.


It's late for me so I'm not going to write out much more, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. I didn't even talk about the general hate for the smash community. James Chen and Ultradavid; a commentator duo (UltraChen) currently going through their mid life crises, with James trying desperately to get some pussy on Twitter and David being a white hating Jew.


It's a fucking lot and I think this stuff deserves at least a community watch thread. If I still feel down to try and make a thread I'll see what happens when I get home from work tomorrow. Thanks for offering to help man.

I was working on one but I kind of let it fall to the wayside. I've still got some stuff compiled, but not sure if I have the energy to make the thread. Maybe we and @CatharticShitHead can start a PM chain and discuss together what stuff to have?

Ever since the FGC went from a somewhat unknown tournament which was an excuse for players to engage in money matches, drug deals and thuggery into a legit e-Sport, there has been a fair bit of milk produced. There was always drama, but it was usually shit that no one cared about unless you were deep into the FGC. This guy grifting people, that other guy being an asshole, Marn rigging brackets in a tournament, but you had to be in the know to hear about those. Now it's gone to SJW levels of stupidity and it's mainstream, so we have cringe inducing players like Sonic.

Jesus, I knew floe was fat, getting to Pre op Boogie size, but I didn't know he was in a scoot scoot.

I knew something was missing from the Community Watch subforum. The FGC is ripe for the picking when it comes to drama. I support it getting a thread one day.

As been mentioned countless times in this thread, he will screw up. And when that happens, things will truly be interesting. So far, it's unremarkable.
