Rumors going around SonicFox dropped Smash. I wouldn't be surprised considering how absolutely shit he is (Zero is still dominating that scene though.)

I also would like to point out that SonicFox lost in that DBFZ tournament 1-2 getting knocking into losers on his first match, and was an EVO Champ. He was against Japanese players who didn't attend EVO or weren't placed high.

First off, Zero isn't even competing in Smash Ultimate. He doesn't play it in tournament at all, only creates content on his YouTube channel.

Second, every player who was in the Top 8 at the DBFZ finals was also at EVO.

Dunking on SonicFox is fine and all, but don't spread misinformation.

Only three of them were at EVO, which is why I said that the tournament had either Japanese players who weren't at EVO or didn't climb as high, not all of them. Mind you that only three of the contenders from EVO's top brackets were in the FighterZ Tournament.

It's been months since I've seen anything with tournaments so I thought Zero was still doing Smash tournaments, but unlike Netherrealm games, what I'm seeing now with results, we have the most varied outcomes I've seen for the game. So my bad on that part, I've not caught up with Smash Ultimate's scene except for Leffen being a cunt, Salem whining about how Melee players aren't Smash players for dumb technicalities he made up, and Melee tournaments banning two characters for whatever fucking reason.

Comparing Zero's success and how he handled it to Sonicfox's in other games is like night and day considering that the former actually sought out to teach people and people hated him for dominating so much when he was just playing a game. Barely got in squabbles, never really had much issues with interaction, and he wears a scarf his mother made him when he moved to the USA. Then you have SonicFox who has a Phil Fish mentality of "I won, choke on it" and tries to blame everyone else on his shitty behavior, which is why people hate him.
 
Gonzales (Zero) has actually been through difficulty in his life, unlike Sonicfox.

He literally had to win tournaments to eat, unlike ShelteredFox. Thats why he wasnt so well liked in the beginning of his career, he would come in, wipe the floor with the local heroes and names, take the prize, and walk away. I'd imagine it to be galling

He's ethnic so when he trounces SF you cant even pull the race card.

But somehow, for some reason, he doesnt scream about how 'oppressed' he was.

Its just oppression Olympics at this point. Most people dont seem to realize that, even if you come in first place, youre still oppressed and miserable.

The mentality in Chile is pretty different compared to the US, so I am not surprised if ZeRo doesn't go and scream about oppression and all that shit like SF does. As he have shown, he'd rather work on the more important things than being a massive autist on twitter.

SF constantly mentioning himself being a furry and gay is fine for PR's sake, since the latter is deemed acceptable by nearly all, and the latter might turn heads, but won't cut brand deals themselves. However, being INCREDIBLY horny on main for someone who enjoys being in the public eye is bad for business, and I'm honestly surprised he wasn't advised sooner.

Also, with a couple of exceptions at Sm4sh's early days, Zero does pretty alright in terms of both keeping out of drama and keeping ego down. Besides the "I was the best player in the world at sm4sh" meme, he's mostly focused on tutorials than anything.

Compared to Sonicfox winning one whole tournament with word association, versus Zero's immense winning streak and knowledge, I'd say Zero is very deserving of saying he was the best. Sonicfox has the same gameplan every game every time.

About the PR thing. I think it was less "stop being horny" which may have attributed, but I'd also say that a good chunk was def him attacking other gay people for thinking differently as well as him pretty much sending people to harass them. After a while, people can only handle your "big orange hat" for so long until people find it annoying, and I wouldn't doubt PR told him to fucking stop himself.

Latest Twitter spat is with Memology101, resident DSP and IBS compilation creator. Apparently he posted cub porn and furry gore. Memology picked it up and started tweeting at him, but didn't have the wit to archive the pictures before Fox nuked them. Fox did his usual thing of blocking the critic and then talking shit to him when he couldn't reply.
