he streams on twitch and thats it. probably has a fuckton saved up as well. I can see him moving to porn/fetish stuff once he eventually retires
 
Dominique has a niche, and that niche is furfag goreshits who also happen to know a Bread N Butter combo for a character in Tekken or some shit.

And that niche, funny enough, looks like it has enough money to support Dominique's now very quiet and boring life of being a furfaggot gore shit.

Considering you can make a decent living off of 600 viewers and a good sub ratio, he'll probably live well enough. Had he not gooned out, he could've done consultant or streaming or commentating type shit. A lot of somewhat forgettable SC2 pros ended up in real esports businesses from their experiences since there's a lot of mental coaches and social media trainers and shit. Huk ended up with the official canadian somethingorother esports department. (and of course a ton of WHO? women sleeping their way into equally well-paid positions as literal ex-pros).
 
This is kind of a necrobump but I just got reminded of this guy recently. I happened to meet Sonicfox at a big fighting game tournament in 2019. I saw that my friend was talking to him and I came up to him to ask him if he was hot because it was like 80 degrees outside he was wearing his fursuit. He gave me a dirty look and then immediately walked away from me and my friend.

That's because he's ashamed of his melanin. He puts on a mask, figuratively and literally.

To threaten his turtle-shell, his wall, his safe space from the rest of the world might have caused him to become overwhelmed.

PL: I met him at a convention and we played SF5. He started getting mad when I dicked around with Zangief so he played Kolin and did a reset into stun before getting up to go play something else in a huff. I guess not everyone likes hugs from a half naked Russian man.
 
EVO 2025 started today, so I'm curious about where SonicFox has been for the past several years that I've forgotten about him. I see that he's still a top MK player as usual, but then noticed that he didn't wear the fursuit for last year's finals. Not even the blue furry hat he typically wore before the fursuit either.

When and why did he stop wearing the fursuit? Did tournament organizers finally slap him into order at some point?

It's far FAR more likely that he dropped it when he realized it just did not net him the amount or kind of attention he wanted.

And iirc when he won EVO or whatever, he straight up said "nobody is playing this shit". So, knowing he ain't getting views and money from being any good as opposed to outspoken, why not dip into actually viable shit like Tekken and SF?

He's quite happy to take WB's tournament money and a much easier bracket.

380 people played Mortal Kombat at EVO '25. Compared to 2,500 for Tekken 8 and 4,200 for SF6 - it's pretty clear to see why he's not playing real games.

Who the fuck are any of these people? I ctrl+f sonicfox and there's one instance of his name in the entire document of discord screenshots I'm not going to read and it's the author of the google dockey calling him insufferable
